These things just keep getting longer...
I had a lot of fun last night. I got some of the housework done for the week that I wanted. Didn't quite finish the living room, but got an ok start on it. Got most of the dishes out of it at least. Did the dishes too seeing as how I ran out of plates eating dinner with Lisa last night.
eligrrl came over and tried my pasta dish. Ok I can't really claim it since it was that Prego-Bake stuff, but I did at least add the chicken on my own. It came out good and it keeps well. Very lasagna-like on reheating. Also had some breadsticks which baked up pretty nicely even though they were stuck together before putting them in the over and they wouldn't unstick. Did find one not-so-cool thing about our stove which I may need to bring to the office's attention. The left rear burner gets hot when the oven is on. This is not good.
So I was showing
eligrrl my Sims game. She's actually contemplating getting The Sims herself. She probably wouldn't play it all that much, though, so I'm not so sure she should. Anyrate, we made a Sim version of her (skins from SimFreaks) and built her her very own Sim House (with custom objects from The Well Dressed Sim) and got her set up. I'm going to work on the landscaping some because I wasn't very happy with it. There were some big gaping holes basically because it was getting late and I knew I needed to take her home.
But we had SimLisa go around her house and read up on some cooking and then after a couple points of that I turned on Free Will and let her have at it. She decided to go skinny dipping in her hot tub and make herself a quick lunch. Eventually I had her wander around and look at all the goodies in her home and then sent her to bed and took the real Lisa home.
Planning on finishing up her house and then I need to make her a bunch of cute gay male friends since she has more gay friends than Anna Nicole. I think I'm going to give her like 3 houses of gay friends in her area. It'll make more sense that way. 3 or 4 guys to a house, some couples, some not. Of course, I'm thinking I should have not put her in Neighborhood 1, but that's okay. She has more neighbors this way. Plus she can befriend the eternal lesbian couple of SimCity.
Speaking of the Roomies, I need to move them in to their house and finish remodeling it. Then I need to move on to the Goth's house. Then I need to finish filling out the houses in the "old" neighborhood. SimLisa is living in Old Town so she's not dealing with the vacancies there unfortunately.
My thought is to do something a little different. Thinking of doing a male version of the Roomies and a female version of Michael Bachelor. I may even go so far as to copy their personalities point for point. Yeah, lil wonky, but fun.
I still have to do my monochrome house. I may wind up doing a few. I have a lot of items I can use for various color schemes after all. I can do a yellow and a green fairly easily and I think I will be able to do a red with pretty much no issues. I have a lot of stuff to unzip and put into the game now as it is and a lot more to download.
I'm always concerned about putting older items into my games now. Especially since I know that certain items (staircases) will now cause issues with pets walking up and down them. They'll go up and down them, but they'll look really really goofy because they'll think they are a "human" sim and walk upright. They'll also try to get into swimming pools on old usermade diving boards for the same reason, but they won't wind up getting in. And I know of major bugs with old Dressers and then there's the entire doors and windows not dropping. I guess I'm just being anal about it. I know that someone had put out a program to fix the window and door issues so I may wind up using that. Now someone just needs to release one for stairs. ^_^
And the entire Unleashed breaking buyable skins and not allowing you to save clothing changes in game sucks donkey ass, kk thx.
Jesus what is it with me and mile long posts now?
