So, it's been a fun week. In that vaguely disorienting "what the hell" kind of way. Pretty much all been chronicled already, so, yeah, that word.

Been playing The Sims. Crashed my game while decorating a house. Have a bad object file, apparently, since it quit to desktop spontaneously while paging through the "all" subcategory of the "seating" category. I think it's probably something from 8th Deadly Sim, but it could be something from Sassarin's SimPeople. I'm guessing former because I added some new downloads from there to my game.

Just used my short filter for the first time in a long time. Too many posts on LJ to keep up with, and I still wound up skimming some. ~_~ I'm offline too much. ;-)

Ok, back to work (whee).

It's something from the marshemllow set. Er... I think that's the name of the set. The ultra-tacky cow-print stuff. Definitely a chair/seating thing too. I added everything else back in and had no issues

You know, I actually don't use a lot of SimFreaks objects anymore... Skins? Hell yes. They have the best out there with very little competition. But there is a lot of really high-bar competition on the object scene. Some of their older stuff holds up, some of their newer stuff does, but it's sort of hit or miss.

Now, sites like Simulation. There's a site with incredible objects.

I'm really picky. Objects need to "fit" in the SimWorld. If they don't "fit", I don't like them. Same with skins. For instance, there is this one SimFreaks set that I LOVE... except for one of the end tables, which is not in the correct perspective view and looks like a photograph. The rest of the set is phenomenal.

I had problems with my sims game once, when I had a bad file. I had to uninstall the entire game, and start over...


now, if only my sim could keep a job..that would be nice...
