A stealthy mage, huh? The only problem that I've seen with characters that have their stealth primarily coming from magical means is that while on camera and in person they are good, in Astral space they are like a giant "Eat at Joe's" sign. Good if your GM doesn't run much Astral security in his runs, a pain if he does.

This is true. This is also why we did our first run at the gang headquarters instead of the package dropoff point. They didn't have any astral security that the scouting mage could see. The other place had a barghest that chased her out of the place.

Of course, my character also doesn't have the ability to do jack astrally (aspected mage, go me!), so she has to rely on her team to gather info on astral protections. Which, seeing as how we're a party of all magic users, this won't be too much of a problem.

As it is, our first run was in such a low-tech area that all she got to do was use Physical Mask to disguise the get-away car. :-p Well, ok, and nuke shit with lightning bolts.

Nice looking mage.Looks like you put alot of thought into making her.

Well, technically I wasn't the one doing the putting together. Worked on it with the GM for the game. I had done a few write-ups of her that were pretty much similar. I just let the guy with experience make some of the decisions.

sounds like you got a decent GM.The Gm here was an ex roomie and I have been gaming iwth the bum since shadowrun came out.I think you will enjoy the game

He was one of the players in [livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi's Werewolf game that we just finished. He did pretty well at describing the information we got, and he can be pretty detailed, which can be nice (or can be overkill). Plus, you know, once the tide of the battle turned he was nice enough to have them run away. :-p

I think that the fact that we nuked (and nearly killed) the cybered up warrior of the group pretty thoroughly discouraged a few of them. :-p

I drooled over the Shadowrun game on the SNES. Reading about your run yesterday and seeing the character now, I want to play in a Shadowrun group.

I never played the SNES game, but I did play one on Sega Genesis. Not the same game, but tons of fun.

I had fun playing shadowrun. I had these mental images in my head as to what was going on. Not too sure how accurate they were, but hey.

Well, you described it pretty well. I personally thought the SNES version was better than the Genesis, but some of my friends would disagree. The SNES one was much more linear, but it felt more like an RPG to me than the Genesis version.

I didn't like the end of the Genesis version. It was cheesy to no end. The gameplay was fun, though.
