So... an update?

Stuff I Missed:
Happy one day belated birthdays to [livejournal.com profile] dmlaenker, [livejournal.com profile] margaras, [livejournal.com profile] nofunk81 and [livejournal.com profile] schmoopee!

I exhibit no surprise that [livejournal.com profile] nofunk81 got drunk on his birthday and posted about it to livejournal.

I exhibit even less surprise that he tried holding a conversation via AIM with [livejournal.com profile] dianak who promptly immortalized it in a locked post.

;-)

City of Heroes:
Kung Ru is now level 26. I sat there staring at the power selection screen going "stamina? integration? stamina? integration? stamina? integration?" before finally going "integration... family bosses suck..." Mind you, at 28 I will be kicking myself for this when I pick up Instant Healing, but it's all good. Integration has already paid for itself. And unless the power level of opponents severely ramps up in the next 4 levels, I have nothing to worry about. Mind you, I really really want Dragon's Tail, but that will have to wait for a while now.

I'm working on two story arcs right now. The Mysterious General Z (which I can't remember what it's named in my clue list right now) and the Freaklympics. The Freaklympics has me going to Dark Astoria for my next mission, so that's sorta on hold because General Z has been much more conveniently located. All the missions have been in Independence Port and Talos Island so far. :-p

The Sims 2:
I want to kick Maxis. Seriously.

Brandi Broke's trailer is on a unique sized lot. First off, it's a 2x2 lot. The smallest lot you can place via the tool is a 2x3 lot. Second, it has road markers on two sides of it Several of the houses around Don Lothario's portion of the neighborhood are also unique sized. They are 2x2 lots with one road marker. This is spectacularly annoying. I would really like to have 2x2 lots. Now, okay, yeah, I can pop one of those lots to the bin (or export it) and make a gazillion copies of it that way. But, really, I just want a blank 2x2 template lot. 2x3 is annoying. Mind you, I do obviously prefer square lots, but that's just me being weird that way. :-p

I also need to quit starting over. :-p I'm wondering if I'll ever be happy to let my Simmies get on with their lives and grow up and die of old age. :-p I've only seen one Sim Death, but I didn't save the game. I burned up Dina Caliente in a fire. She will drown soon, but she had to give birth to Mortimer's twins first. I named them Gunther and Cornelia. I'm so original that way. :-p

But, yeah. Barring the miraculous intervention of a Sim-Editing program, Dina Caliente and her sloth-like posture will be swimming in a ladderless pool very shortly. But she needs to alienate her children first. :-p Can't have them missing the gold-digging sloth beast.

Well, 53 minutes into my shift and I finally actually got a phone call. Time to do some work!

There are 2x2 lots? My goodness. The biggest lot I've placed and built on has been 3x3... I tend to build too big, but I can't imagine using all the space on the bigger lots. I want 2x2 lots too!

I also haven't played in the prefab neighborhoods at all. Are they fun?

Pleasantview is a trip. Especially if you played the default neighborhood in The Sims at all. It is supposed to be the same town (nevermind it looks nothing like it). Every household is a walking disaster waiting to happen. Fixing it all takes some effort at first, but then it's easy once you learn how.

Strangetown is... strange. I sorta like it... Especially the Curious family. They have alien babies. Well, okay, at least one. But if you do what the prompts tell you to you'll have two. And if you're really adventurous you can try for a third with the third guy. :-p

The 2x2 lots are the perfect size for a modest home without a lot of outdoor gunk. I am very annoyed that we can't make them ourselves. :-p

Heh, I had to go check out Brandi Broke's household after I read your post... I love how she breaks for the toilet straightaway... too funny!

Yeah. It's hillarious. I really like playing her house. I even got her kids into private school without cheating too much. :-p I bought one high environment sculpture (kachinged for cash) and moved it from room to room throughout the tour. :-p

Considering how bad that family starts out, they're actually one of the easiest to fix.

twas a very funny conversation.

that was the best part by far, though...

might I say it was difficult to keep from spitting out the coke I was drinking everytime I even looked at that bit?
