Wisdom, Batman, and Other Unrelated Topics
I am one of those rare people who actually has room in his mouth for some of his wisdom teeth. In particular, I have plenty of room for my top wisdom teeth. Not so much for the bottom. Either way, my top left side wisdom tooth came in a few years back. It's a little off center, but it's in and fine. Now, my top right one is coming in. I noticed on Monday that the gum was really sore and sorta throbbing and it was freaking me out. Yesterday, the throbbing was gone, but it was still tender. I felt it and, sure enough, I could feel the tooth just under the gum. Today, the tooth is closer to the surface, but hasn't yet broken through. I'm not much looking forward to that point, because it freakin' hurt when the first one came through. Although, this one actually has slightly more room to come out than the other one did. Still. Annoying. And, ya know, OW!
Batman #659 and #660
I did read these the other night, one after the other, and so I'm halfway through this story arc. The arc is called "Grotesk", and introduces a highly predictable murder mystery. So highly predictable that they knew who the bad guy was in the first or second issue. The "mystery" is the "why" in this case. And even that isn't quite that mysterious. The artwork is great, but the story is sorta lacking some of the things that I enjoy most in comics, such as a connection to the characters. Yeah, we have decades of connection with Batman, but I'm feeling no connection at all to Grotesk or the other players in the mystery portion of this arc. I will say that the arc is nice and creepy and dark, which is a nice change of pace from reading Supergirl and Teen Titans.
No WoW CCG playing tonight. Potentially tomorrow, though. Put $5 of gas in
satyr_mi's car on my way in to work. We'll fill up both cars on Friday or so, is my thinking. I need to get some CoH time in tonight to get more Snaptooth missions done and do some present opening. May go grind some undead for faction in WoW, too.
Anyrate, break time is up, so I have to get back to work.

Going by that, I have all four wisdom teeth, in straight, broken surface, no problems. And I'm pretty sure I've had them all, or most, for a long time. I could be wrong, because I honestly can't tell you when they came in. There was never any pain or anything to signify it, and the change wasn't sudden enough that I remember thinking "hey, I have more teeth."
The only problem that my hygenist (not dentist, mind you) has with wisdom teeth, even if the come in right, is that most people can't get a toothbrush behind them, so tartar builds up on the backs. I *can* get a toothbrush back there, not sideways, but enough to keep them clean. My hygenist says I'm no fun, because I always have so little buildup. My dentist, on the other hand, keeps wanting me to take them out, even though there's no problem.
I also have very deep rooted teeth. Deep enough that it's been commented on by at least two dental professionals at different offices. Looking at the X-rays I don't know how the roots aren't poking up into my sinuses :P Good thing too, I've been knocked in the mouth a few times and thankfully haven't lost any teeth. KNOCK ON WOOD. :P
