Hot Plasma Love

This past weekend, we went and got ourselves a 42" panasonic plasma HD TV. 1080p resolution. It was the floor model, so it was significantly discounted. Not beat up at all. Beautiful picture and perfect sound (for built in speakers). We connected the Xbox360 to it and spent the next hour going "OH MY GOD WE CAN READ THE TEXT!!!" Yeah. That word. That was like our Valentine's Day present to ourselves.

It's a really nice TV. Now we just have to learn a new remote for it.

If you have an Xbox 360 and a fancy new TV, do yourself a favor and get a Logitech Harmony remote. We can plug it into the computer via USB and program it to do everything from navigate the Xbox menus to turning on our fan which uses an infrared remote. Totally worth it.

Hmmm. I shall look into this! We actually do have fans that use remotes, too, but those are in the bedroom. We need something that can work the cable box, DVD player, and TV mostly.

Very shiny! I told [livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi that we need to have a movie night now.

I keep noticing things I never saw before, especially watching Star Wars or Pixar movies.

That happened to [livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi when we watched The Incredibles. It was something I'd always known was there, but he noticed it for the first time.

And we found a lil itty bitty error in that movie, too. A shadow missing for Ellen's headphones in the plane. Her head had a shadow, her hand had a shadow, but the headphones did not.
