Role Playing Goodness
So, I did a bad thing last night. I went to Borders and splurged. Ok, yeah, I know, 33% discount does not qualify as splurging. Whatever. I nearly spent $100 after that discount thank you very much. :-p
I bought D20 Modern, Demon: The Fallen, Mummy: The Ressurection Players Guide, and Monsters of Norrath. Mmm. Gaming books. Mmm.
I glanced through Monsters of Norrath last night in between trying to keep my kittens from tearing up the place. Both of them have now discovered that they can climb up on my desk by getting on my chair first. Time to clean off the desk I guess. I don't mind them going on my desk, but right now it's not particularly safe for them. Need to rectify that. Monsters of Norrath didn't have anything spectacular in it. It was interesting to see the EQd20 stats for some creatures, but it wasn't really anything all that spectacular.
Been looking at D20 Modern this morning. So far it looks good. I just got to the chapters on campaign variations. I'm thinking of running this. Seriously. Doing it as a modern-fantastic setting. Not quite the World of Darkness, but not quite Middle American Bliss either.
I have not yet looked at the Mummy player's guide or Demon. Sometime soon I will. Probably glance through Demon during my lunch, if only to see what their stats look like.
Kitties are calming down some. Well, ok, clarification. They're both total spazzes, but they are spazzing less than before. They don't immediately run and hide when I walk around near them, but they do still run and hide a lot when I do. I can usually talk softly to them and walk slowly and be able to pet them. William was mewing this morning when I was in bed and had my door closed. I opened it up and, of course, he bolted. I sat back down on my bed and he came in and hopped up with me. He also did that when I was at my computer. He's getting to be quite the affectionate kitty. I got both him and Daniel to eat with me watching them, which is good. Just picked them up and carried them to the food dish and set them down and they started chowing down. Neither wanted to take a kitty treat from me this morning though.
Ok, that's enough of an update for now. Maybe more later. Who knows.
