So how long will this spurt last?

Frantically cleaning the apartment. Well, not right this minute since I'm at work. But getting stuff done and put away and sorted since there is new furniture arriving friday. I'll admit I haven't done as much as I could have so far, but I've done more than I thought I would have by now. Especially in amount of laundry done. I almost have a floor in my bedroom again. Almost. Not quite though. Still working on it.

So, the question is how long will this last? I am not the most notoriously tidy person in the world by any stretch of the imagination. I've been called a slob before, and I honestly can't refute that statement. Sure I do have some lil things that I try to do all the time to tidy up and it annoys me when other people don't do them, but I have no problem leaving all of my clothing piled in the middle of my floor along with the remains of old (sometimes unpaid) bills.

The problem with the work I'm doing right now in terms of housework is that it's all in the wrong room. Yes getting my room clean is a nice goal to have and will be nice to have done, but the living room is what needs to be done. That's where all the shit that was in my closet has migrated to and has to migrate out of so that we can fit the furniture in there.

I did break down some boxes and stick them into storage and got rid of the rest of the remains of the futon this morning. Finding I don't have quite as much closet space as I thought I would. I can squeeze a little more out of it I'm sure, but it's going to be interesting. It's a huge closet, don't get me wrong. It's just not the size of the walk-in we had at River Drive.

My problem with cleaning is this. I have this goal in my head and this plan of things to do. I'm great for making plans. Then I get home and look at stuff and say "fuck it this is boring" and don't do it. Plus I'm loathe to do anything with Keith's stuff. Ever. If it's his, he needs to take care of it cuz I'm not going to. I may organize it into nice neat piles, but he better sort through it and put it away or throw out what can be thrown out.

Of course, I need to do the same thing.

I need some small boxes to store some things. I need some book shelves for books. x_x Screw that, I need a library for books. ¬_¬

So, today I may have plans with nofunk81 and/or eligrrl. Not certain yet. Hoping. That means no laundry tonight when I get home, but I'll sort out boxes when I get home.
