Holy farking shit. This is my first actual break from madness. Thank god. It's 11:00 as I start typing this. Yegads.

Nothing new to report. Other than the fact I brought Exalted with me to work today to make more characters with. Cuz, you know, you can never make enough characters for a game.

For those who use ICQ (and have my ICQ number off my userinfo) be aware that I'm really not ignoring you. I'm REALLY FUCKING BUSY today.

God the phone can stop ringing already!! Yegads. Fine fine I'll get back to it. Yeesh.

Oh, totally random tangent. I just ordered a signed copy of a book. x_x I'm insane. Well ok not really insane, but insane. It's gotten great reviews, but I'm not normally into that particular genre. Here's to hoping!

Seems like a LOT of people are having a prolonged High Stress Moment™ today. I am one of them.

First, it was 20 million calls in around 30 seconds. We've been busy all morning. Slightly understaffed as well. We had one tech call in sick, and half the department has been not at their phones for at least half the day. Right now it's like that, actually. But the calls have actually stopped, so that's a good thing.

Had an email to check on an issue for another department. Basically, another department noticed this "really bad issue" at a store and spazzed out. Turned out the "really bad issue" was a five minute fix after I actually spoke with the store for two hours to figure out what the problem was. Nevermind that this "really bad issue" was known at least two years ago and supposedly fixed, but apparently some master builds never got updated so the problem still crops up. Oh, and did I mention that we have no documentation on this "really bad issue"?

So, I spent the first 3 hours of my shift going crazy due to the non-stop incoming calls. I spent the next hour (before lunch) on the beginning of the "really bad issue" just figuring out that half the things the other department said were wrong actually weren't wrong and were working the way they were supposed to and someone upstairs was on crack. I then ate lunch. I then answered a couple calls before calling the store with the "really bad isssue" up to take another hour to finish fixing their very simple problem.

But, hey, I ordered a copy of Four and Twenty Blackbirds by [livejournal.com profile] wicked_wish in the between times. Go me!

Bored now. Ready to go home now. Probably going to get groceries on my way home, but still.

One Year Ago Today...

This is my official 1 year anniversary of LiveJournal. I'm 99% certain that I started as a paid account, although I may have gotten a code from [livejournal.com profile] scyllz. Can't remember now. I know I got a few days of paid status from some server issues a while back, and I just renewed my paid status last week.

Heh. I knew nothing about using LJ at that point. :-p I had added [livejournal.com profile] scyllz and [livejournal.com profile] kageneko to my friend's list, and later in the day added [livejournal.com profile] grammaravenger. Got sucked in with a large amount of [livejournal.com profile] fourth_wall people.

I was still working closing shifts at that point. Heh. Still living in Ypsilanti at that point, too. I think the Sunday before that is when [livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi broke up with me. So, yeah, happy times that was.

Ironic now that we're sorta kinda almost maybe back together-ish now. o_O

I'm vaguely amused that at the time I considered three posts to be too many to make in one day. Heh. Interesting.

[livejournal.com profile] badbob posted the first comment to my journal. Interestingly enough, he doesn't post much anymore. :-p Doofus. I'll just go harass him on IRC... not that I go on IRC much anymore... :-p

Scarily enough, my EZboard still lives. x_x *meep* Must kill it.

Ok, enough of memory lane for today.
