Administration:
Welcome to three new friends: [livejournal.com profile] tetsubun_otaku, [livejournal.com profile] ubdash, and [livejournal.com profile] ultrabithorax. One is a re-welcome, one probably found his way from the re-welcome (or from the small group of people we already had in common), and the last had 9 people in common with me before today. :-p

Sleep:
I had some dreams which I do not remember in any way shape or form, unfortunately. That's ok. Went to bed fairly early last night, slept a bit, got woken up by Keith when he got home because I had a package in the mail that he wanted to open. He was vaguely confused by the contents, but that's ok.

I woke up at about 6:45 this morning. On my own. Not the groggy "oh god why am I awake" kind of waking up, but the *pop* eyes are wide open and perfectly willing to face the day kind of waking up. I could not stand for this so promptly put myself back to sleep.

I then had a dream I can remember, involving being in a car in Ann Arbor with some friends (who were not people that I know in real life) and we were leaving to drive to [livejournal.com profile] templar_rose's place, albeit by driving past UofM hospital which is so not the way to get there from Ann Arbor, and [livejournal.com profile] brigittefires was running up next to the car to tell me something about the game as we drove down the road. She kept up with us until we got past the hospital too, then I woke up.

Mail Delivery:
I received a package in the mail last night. Sadly, it wasn't a lifetime subscription to the porn mag of my choice. Happily, it was my signed copy of Four and Twenty Blackbirds by [livejournal.com profile] wicked_wish! And there was much rejoicing! I read the first sentence or two before running out the door to go to work this morning.

Playstation2:
Been playing Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter the last couple days. I really like it. The first time you play it, it's very very HARD to get into. Fortunately, you start with an UberDood in your party to keep you from getting completely blitzed right away. This is a good thing. The game is very fun so far. I have not yet gotten to a point to use my Dragon Powaz in the game, and I plan on using them as little as possible (as to avoid having to start over too soon) but I still want to see them.

Nina starts the game physically decrepit, but sickeningly powerful if you play your cards right. I've gotten into quite a routine of Ryu - hack-slash-kick to Nina gasting G-Flare and making the enemies walk right back into the fire. Couple rounds later, hack-slash-kick straight into 3 G-Flare circles. All is good in the world.

I have yet to get my third party member, though. I should be running into her very soon in all actuality.

My only complaint is that the game looks to be really really short. Breath of Fire should always be huge and have this epic quality to it, you know? Well, not perhaps as epic as, say, Final Fantasy, but micro-epic. Mini-series epic. This just doesn't look like it has that.

My only other complaint is actually the strategy guide. It's the "official" one (brady games) and it is spoilerific. I must have gotten spoiled by the Final Fantasy strategy guides that were as spoiler free as they could be and still let you get things done. I mean, this guide gives away the ending of the game, for cryin out loud!

Gaming:
I really need to go write up Miranda's summary from last game. Lisa doesn't get one this week. Just Miranda. That's ok, her plotline went ahead big time.

I really love the style I was using for this last couple months. It looks really cool, and the small font really makes it work.

Unfortunately, it is too small. It's hard to read if I'm even the slightest bit tired, and the fact that I had to force width limits on entries just made it something of a tangled mess.

So...

New style! ;-)

I have a LASTN and FRIENDS view done. Other two will come in time.

I plan on re-adding my individual friends journal links again, but for some reason the <lj user="soandso"> tag refused to function. Very annoying.

So, slightly larger font. New friend filter lists. It's all good.

Oh, and the "local" filter is not so much as "local" as "within a reasonable physical distance that wouldn't require a serious road trip to see" thing.

I didn't have severe allergy issues last year. Nothing quite like what I'm having right now. Of course, it's also nothing compared to what [livejournal.com profile] shadesong is going through, but she's also got more than just allergies going on.

Well, actually, I did have allergies around this time last year, but during the summer? Nada.

I think I just figured out why.

Central Air.

The windows were never open!!!

x_x

This explains much.

[livejournal.com profile] eligrrl is getting kidnapped/hijacked/whatever tonight when I get out of work.

What we will be doing is up to debate.

1) MUST go to Meijer. There is no option in this. Groceries are needed. It will be done. (yes, I have lots of food at home... bags and bags of frozen chicken, tons of rice, but one cannot subsist on chicken and rice for eternity and it sure as hell does not work as a take-to-work lunch. :-p)

2) MUST figure out dinner. Not sure what it will be, but it will be something.

3) MUST make time for New Buffy Eppy.

4) WANT a pony.

...

Ok not really.

Maybe one of those Fucked-Up-My-Little-Pony-Parody thingies.

Bleh. Still really stuffed up here. x_x annoyage
