Tuesday Afternoon Update
On Stress Release:
I'm not sure what it is, but my stress level seems to skyrocket after lunch. It isn't so much as that things are stresfull but rather that I am stressed. It's the thought that I have to do X, Y, and Z soon in order to get out of the rut that I am in. Unfortunately, U, V, and W are getting in the way of X, Y, and Z.
No, I do not want advice on getting things done. I'm getting them done. I just want them to be done already. I don't want to have to wait for them to be done.
So, I went home yesterday after work fully intending to stay home and maybe have some company. I wound up getting invited out to
templar_rose's place before he took his daughter back to her mother's and we hung out and chatted. Got some stress release out related to the filtered entry from yesterday and, of course, discussed the goings on in the Sunday World of Darkness game.
brgittefires was greatly amused by everything.
On Reading:
Read four chapters of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets yesterday during my lunch hour. Probably get four more in today. Probably finish it at home.
Speaking of books, three new ones that I HAVE to have came out this week. :-p Ok, so I don't HAVE to have them, but I HAVE to have them! :-p Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 hit the shelves. I. Want. Now.
Not that I've actually gotten to play tabletop 3.0 yet... ~_~ Other than a brief run with Keith. :-p
On Sleep:
Someone needs to remind me to go home before 10pm. :-p Wherever I may be, I need to go home before 10pm. Sleep is becoming an issue. :-p
Sleep made me goofy this morning. Woke up at exactly 7:26am (according to my clock, which, admittedly, is not entirely correct, but is not as fast as it used to be). I looked at said clock and said "Aw shit." Got out of bed, nearly flinging poor William into my open clothes hamper in the process, and stalked over to my bathroom for a quick shower. Got dressed, made sure the kitties still had food (they had lots, as much as I would normally give them in a day), and went out the door.
As I was getting off of US 23 at Washtenaw, I realized I had left my work badge at home.
DOH!
Oh well, no punching the time clock for me today. :-p
