Administration:
Welcome to new friend [livejournal.com profile] roane!

Reading:
Done reading. Finished Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Saturday morning at about 11:30. I had started it Friday afternoon for about 35 minutes (3 chapters) during my lunch. I read for a couple hours at home. Then took it to work and read for about 5 hours there.

I started reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on 7/13.

I. Demolish. Books.

Sleep:
Next time I say I'm going home early, I will be leaving at 9. Don't care if I'm in the middle of a scene. I am leaving at 9. I didn't wind up getting to sleep until 2:30. I had been chatting with [livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi for a bit, during which we both realised I was FAR TOO TIRED to still be awake. I get... cranky when I'm tired (as people who were at game last night can attest to). And I just got crankier when I got home, because I was trying so hard to not be cranky at game.

I had not gone to bed after work on Sunday. I took two No-Doz during game last night, drank a lot of soda

So, I slept until 8 this morning, when [livejournal.com profile] amberthistle called me. It's a good thing she did, too, or I would have slept until noon. I remember waking up to my alarm, turning it off and intending to get out of bed. I also remember instantly segueing back into whatever dream I had been having (in which I was on a large sailing ship at sea shooting at monsters with a really cool, modern hunter's bow) and thinking I needed to clean off the arrows I took out of things I shot.

I made it to work on time. I took a 4 minute shower, got dressed, fed the cats, grabbed a chewey granola bar and ran out the door.

Gaming:
The reason for my late hours was, of course, game. It was good, when it was actually game. Before we got started, Heather and Roach had their wedding, which was very nice but not quite what it was supposed to be because her family went nuts and her father and grandmother decided they just HAD to be there. (It was supposed to be a bondage wedding... and partially In-Character for game. They were going to exchange Slave and Mistress collars as well as their rings.)

The wedding was at 5. Had [livejournal.com profile] templar_rose actually been home (he had to go to a company picnic briefly) before 3, we could have had some gaming done (not much, it was chaos there) before the wedding. The wedding itself was great. Very short, but nice.

After the wedding, things took off like a bat out of hell. SO MUCH happened. It was a chapter end, but not quite how some of us had thought it might end. There was a big climactic battle, much like at the end of the last chapter, and the victory was, shall we say, not quite so victorious.

The Assamite/Tremere alliance just got scarier with the addition of a Giovanni to the mix. Said Giovanni has also been in contact with Arishayar. Another Giovanni disappeared under... mysterious circumstances ([livejournal.com profile] brigittefires really needs to stop eating [livejournal.com profile] griffonisrex's characters. :-p I don't care if she wants to get into his pants, she just should stop. Silly girl. ;-) heh).

I will probably post an OOC summary of events over in [livejournal.com profile] lisastall. It'll need to cover the last two game sessions. I may get an in-character post in there as well again. :-)

Posting Delay:
Started at 9:54. I do have a lot more to talk about with my weekend, but that will have to wait.

Ok, this post isn't really going to be too funny. It's sorta a "you had to be there" moment for a lot of things, but still.

We met #1 on Sunday. #1 quacks louder than a fruit fly at a Bette Middler concert. Well, ok, maybe not quite that bad, but still.

[livejournal.com profile] brigittefires got completely drunk. It was quite funny. 7 people telling her to drink orange juice, drink water, eat bread. I think that contributed to bizzare in character actions, but I'm not sure.

Roach's pants split right at the croch. Unfortunately, he did well enough at covering himself, despite four people trying to expose him, to not flash the world.

Several people ate cheesecake (turtle.. mmm.. caramel and nuts..) with their hands (turtle.. mmm.. caramel and nuts.. uh oh.. hands..). I was one of them. It was quite tasty though!

The wedding cake was cut... with a Katana.
