*pokes livejournal with a stick*
I'm not dead yet!
I just haven't felt much like posting anything. :-p I'm a putz like that.
Been a complete and utter useless vegetable the past few days. Ever since
satyr_mi got me addicted to Civilization 3. :-p To say that I have been, um, well, obsessed with it would be a teensy tiny understatement.
satyr_mi may have just guilt tripped me out of a marathon session tonight. :-p He's actually cleaning the apartment. I feel compelled to at least clean my bedroom now. :-p Of course, that could also be because I can't see the floor... Of course, I can clean the room and THEN play Civ3... =^_^=
I'm such a bum.
Last night I made myself a sandwich before going to bed. Now, normally, this would not be the kind of story worth retelling in a journal entry, but this particular experience bears repeating. I'm standing in our relatively small kitchen at the counter that has our cat food underneath it. William has not figured out that this is where the food hides when I'm going to feed the cats. Daniel, however, be-lines for the door when I walk in to feed them. So, I'm standing there making my sandwich and minding my own business, pointedly ignoring the fact that Daniel is rubbing against my legs thinking he's getting food when there is already a full dish of cat food not 4 feet away from him, when I suddenly hear him meowing in the most sad and begging noise I've ever heard him make.
William begs for food. Daniel ignores food until William is eating.
So, I look down and see Daniel, standing on his hind legs with his front paws held in mid air in front of him and his back to my leg, staring and meowing at me while I finish making my sandwich. He stayed in that position for a full 30 seconds before going back down to a more natural kitty position. He then proceeded to do the cute kitty rubbing agains the legs routine for a minute or so while I ate said sandwich, then promptly went to his food dish, which had food in it the entire time, ate one bite out of it, and went to find a place to clean himself and nap.
William never came into the kitchen during the entire episode.
I was amused. =^_^=
