Monday Morning Update
Wow... it's been a while...
Administration:
Nothing obvious to report from what LJ can tell me at least. And, thankfully, Joule is back to tell me my friending and unfriending. Nothing new there, though.
Eating:
Home from vacation, time for another weight loss attempt. :-p We'll see how this one goes. Started with a home cooked breakfast. Yes, you read right. I actually cooked something this morning. Made an omelet and toast. Two eggs (note to self: large eggs are big, use one next time), two slices of cheese (note to self, that was too much cheese, use one next time), two slices of toast (note to self: don't burn the toast next time), one glass of orange juice and one glass of skim milk. Very yummy. Very filling.
I was going to make tuna sandwiches for lunch, but wound up running too late to do that, so I'll have to nab lunch at the cafeteria today. Probably get a turkey sandwich. If they have baked lays I'll get some of them too.
Not sure about dinner. I have a few cans of soup I should really get around to eating and, of course, I have more pasta than Italy, so who knows. Maybe I'll make some chicken and rice. That sounds sorta like a plan...
Shopping Badness:
I'd say "Shopping Goodness" but, whoo boy, was this baaaaad. Well, during vacation we didn't buy too much, but we did get some things we really shouldn't have. Got a battery pack that would supposedly fit my camera. It's too big. Need to return it here. Probably do that tomorrow. Not in the mood to do it tonight. Got some magazines at a bookstore in North Hampton (Common Language wishes it could be this bookstore). Got a light-switch cover at the store, too. Keith got it, actually. Found that they don't make that particular model anymore, so if we get more from the website of the company we may put that in one of the bathrooms (probably his) and get matching ones for the rest of the apartment. Coming home was the killer for shopping. Went to Best Buy on Saturday. We were planning on just looking at stuff and then going to Meijer. Well, Meijer didn't happen. We spent over $500 at Best Buy. No, that isn't our biggest Best Buy bill to date. That would be our TV and TV stand. Albeit, that was two transactions.
satyr_mi and I are now the proud (???) owners of two samsung cell phones with Sprint PCS. We are very happy. Very broke (not really), but very happy. Especially after we get the insane rebates done. The phones (which can be oggled here) had a $70 rebate. Each. So, $140 back from the phones, we got a rewards card which will probably get us $15 from this purchase. We bought 3 accessories each (leather carrying case, hands free headset, car power adaptor) and get rebates for those. Got extended warranty type things for them. It's all good. We also bought Hunter: The Reckoning - Wayward. :-p So, yeah, big purchase day. :-p Obviously, Meijer didn't happen.
Well, that's it for now. Another vacation update probably when I'm on lunch. Time to do work.
