Time to play Catch-Up

That Sleep Thing:
Got home from work to find that satyr_mi had not gone to bed yet. :-p He was wide awake and had been futzing around with an old (and I do mean paleolithic) mac that we got from his old work. He had seen a website about case-mods and discovered that with around $300 he could turn this fossil into a working P3.

Yes, my boyfriend is a psycho.

The upshot of this entire event is that we got to spend some quality time together before passing out. Well, he passed out, I got (briefly) wired and then passed out.

Fast forward about 7 hours.

Woke up. Tragic, I know. Fortunately, it was late enough in the day that if I actually stayed in bed any longer I would feel like a lazy bum, so I opted to actually get up. We got dressed, decided we were starving and unwilling to cook, and then drove up to the little strip mall near us to, presumably, order a pizza and get some soda. 5 movie rentals, 2 pizzas, 2 pints of ice cream, 2 big bottles of mountain dew and one long-ass cheese danish later and we had ourselves a night planned.

Sadly, that night did not involve more sleep. More sleep would have been grand.

Movie Madness:
So, yeah. Five movies. We rented Bruce Almighty (aka, someone please kill me now, or kill Jim Carey and make my life a much happier one), The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Legally Blonde 2 (aka why, god, why), 28 Days Later, and Pirates of the Carribean.

Must. Own. Pirates. Truly.

The only one of the five that I was really interested in was Pirates of the Carribean, so we watched that one tonight. Then satyr_mi watched Bruce Almighty while I went online briefly. He's now watching The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Those three movies have to go back tomorrow. The others are 5 day rentals.

Work Fun:
Yay. At work. Whoopee. Hooray. Cheer. zzzzzzzzzzz

Neverwinter Nights:
Finished Chapter 1 of Hordes of the Underdark. Interesting to look at it in the toolset and see a whole slew of journal entries for quests that I'm pretty sure don't actually exist in the finished product. :-p Also amusing to see that conversation nodes for certain NPCs include things from later chapters. You know, things like every convesation point you could have with The Reaper. :-p Spoilery fun.

You know, not that I would EVER seek out spoilers for anything. I am sooo far above that. Just... don't look at my links page for TV shows... :-p And ignore my collection of strategy guides for every game I own. Or my frequent haunting of gamefaqs...

But, yeah, Neverwinter Nights. Good addiction. Or something.

Must work on the Fourth Wall module... Or must resist said urge... Not sure which...


Well, that's enough of a post for now. So not coherent at the moment.

One of Life's Little Annoyances

Getting the hiccups at work.

Not just any hiccups, mind you. But hiccups that make me sound like someone shoved a duck inside a tube and started zapping it with a taser. We're talking big, world shaking hiccups that cause the disappearance of small islands.

And they just won't go away.
