So, last night after work I managed to convince [livejournal.com profile] nofunk81 to come to Red Robin with me before I went to Borders to pick up Angel season 3. We had fun, ate food, chatted, and oggled the cute waiters. I also ran into a former co-worker who now works at the IT Cage.

Went to Borders. Looked for The Complete Warrior (D&D sourcebook) but it wasn't there. Nabbed a copy of Angel season 3, then headed home. Watched some Angel, then went to bed.

I know. I live a very exciting life. :-p

I was actually kinda surprised with Angel. I really missed a lot of that season when it first aired, so I'm sorta playing catch-up now. Other than the crappy cutting and lack of special effects in the first episode (they blew it all with real backlot shots) it's pretty good. I mean, they didn't even have any decent dustings. Ok they had three, but they also had three or four vamps get staked, you hear the sound of the dusting but see nothing, then they cut away and return to the vamp being gone. And not even the "I stake you when you are mostly off screen and you fall out of frame" shit. We're talking the "I stake you on the trunk of a car and you sit there while the noise plays and then we go to a wide shot which you are mysteriously not in for some reason" shit. Very sloppy. And a lot of obvious cuts into and out of stunts. Like, the frame jumped. I dunno. Maybe we just need to clean our DVD player or something...

Ok. Going to work on a Shadowrun character now.
