Rented movies on Tuesday. "Kill Bill Vol 1" and "Matrix Revolutions". I didn't watch "Matrix", but
satyr_mi did and he said it sucked. "Kill Bill" was great fun. Watched it again last night. It's now a day late in being returned, but
satyr_mi hadn't gotten to finish watching it so I kept it an extra day.
Also rented "Hunter the Reckoning: Redeemer" for X-Box. I was apparently only three areas away from completing it the last time I played it. :-p The game is easy, but fun. Now I just gotta do a few more runs with the Martyr to hit 99 Ranged and Conviction and then work on Melee. Final boss pretty much requires Melee. :-p My ranged attacks did squat on him. I was trying to download the X-Box Live content for it, but it was down for upgrades all day. Will have to do that today. Still want to buy the game.
Only thing I don't like is that you have to export and import your characters in order to keep their stats between games. Once I max out the Martyr, I'll probably play around with the Defender or the Avenger. Unless I unlock the Wayward by then. The Wayward is my friend. Although, the Demand edge is even more of my friend...
I am totally engrossed in Shadowrun stuff. I've been reading almost all of the posts in
shadowrun and I've been reading the Dumpshock Forums. And I've been google searching stuff. And I've been reading the SR3 core rulebook and Magic in the Shadows far too much. We royally fucked up magic castings. :-p Elemental Manipulations can be dodged and are affected by one of the armor types, but only at 1/2 of the armor rating. And Drain Tests don't use the penalties to TNs from current damage (at least, not the way they are described in SR3 they don't). And the limit to spell pool dice you can use in a casting is equal to Sorcery trait according to one passage, but I was almost certain it was limited to the Force of the Spell. And, in theory, my character has two forged and/or certified credsticks (not counting the rewards from the first run) since you supposedly start with a credstick with your starting funds without having to purchase one.
Angel was okay last night. It was nice to see Connor more or less resolved. Illyria was, of course, incredible. "This one is lusting after me." *snicker* Some great aside lines for Angel, too. "I've always had a thing for older women." "They were supposed to fix that." It wasn't the best episode of the season. It seemed sorta... sudden. It came out of left field, hit us with a huge messload of series-long plot, and then hit a brick wall at the end where I went "What?? That was it??" It wasn't a bad episode, mind you. It was just not as good as I had expected.
Okay. Enough blurblets for now.
Oh, yeah, one last thing.
satyr_mi needs to clean the table. :-p Well, other than the nifty home-made coasters that I got for Christmas that got lost in the shuffle and I just brought home with the rest of my stuff from Mom's. :-p
Oh, yeah, and I miss my old kitty and I feel very badly for him but that will be another post entirely.
