A Case of the Mondays

Worky worky:
Yup. I'm at work. Already getting stuff accomplished, such as a 28 minute phone call with Puerto Rico. (One word, winterlady, and I autoforward their next call to you. :-p) At least all the issues they called with got resolved. ;-) Good way to start my week. Every call a first call closure. ;-)

Well, okay, technically had a vendor update, but those don't count.

Cable Woes:
Something vague happened in an undisclosed region near my apartment last night that caused our cable TV to go out, but our internet to work fine. Made for a grumpy satyr_mi, who missed the finally of The 4400 due to it. I think he beat stuff up in CoH to make himself feel better, but I'm not sure. Of course, this also made us both miss Dead Like Me, which made for a grumpy us. I watched Sailor Moon S (The Movie) and went to sleep. :-p

I didn't check it this morning, but I'm hoping it's working again. :-p We can catch Dead Like Me tonight if it is.

Now, keep in mind, both my initial fear and Keith's initial question was if we were behind in the cable bill again. I knew we weren't because I have been neurotic as hell about paying every single bill on time since we started living on one income. In fact, I went online to check.

I. Went. Online. And. Checked.

I had to think about that for a few seconds before I realized what it meant.

I CAN FINALLY PAY MY FUCKING CABLE/INTERNET BILL ONLINE!!!

This was our ONLY BILL other than RENT that we could not pay online. Okay, technically our Dell bills have to be payed by check, but those are recent aquisitions. But, yeah. Our internet bill could not be paid online. It now can be. In fact, I even looked at our most recent bill (Bill date 8/5) and it's the normal amount.

I can pay my cable bill online!

Yes, I am excited by this. Bite me. (Not an offer.) (Well, except to you two, and you two know who you two are.)

Mall Walking:
carebear_flare wants to go to the mall today to look at cell phones, and wants to come over to watch more Voyager. Of course, satyr_mi has already finished all of Voyager, but that's okay. :-p We'll see.

Gaming Stuff:
Next game is going to be like older games for me. I can't get time off work from either job for it, so It'll be the "we have to finish by 11:30 so I can go to work" dealie again. :( I just have to keep telling myself I'm only working two jobs until the Visa bill is paid off. Then I'll be able to quit job number 2 and start to have a life again. :-p

I'm very excited about next game. Stuff is happening. Characters are doing things. And the elf nun is turning into the bitch of the group. :-p What is it with me and playing the bitch of the group? Seriously? :-p


Well, work is getting work-like, so I'm going to post this and work on work-stuff.

Stuck in my head

So, I'm on lunch now. Called home to talke to satyr_mi and let him know that carebear_flare was going to come over and whatnot tonight. While on the phone with him, he turned on his PC.

His startup sound? The opening theme song for "Dead Like Me".

It is now stuck in my head.


I am so stealing that sound from him and bringing it to work. Maybe I'll use it for my email sound or something.

This is not right.

The entire concept of the next Chucky movie is wrong as it is...
