Gasp! Shock! AWE!!!

I actually played some CoX last night. Mostly the CoV variant, where I got Kalleesta (on Virtue) up to 25 finally. Hey, what can I say, I got to skip the mid 20's in beta because I was 24 when we got level bumped! I stared at my slots going "where the hell am I going to put these two?" for a good five minutes before tossing one in Fearsome Stare and one in some other Dark Miasma power that escapes my mind at the moment oh yeah Darkest Night. That one. :-p I am, of course, totally broke and cannot buy any SO's to fill those slots, but still. Now I'm thinking I'm going to get the badge to unlock the Archmage guy and see if he'll still give me missions. And I've got the level 25 contact that Crash Cage gives out. The guy that gives the Calystix arc. That'll be fun. In that "Please, kill me repeatedly! I like it!" kind of way. Logged in as Kung Ru (on Pinnacle) briefly to mess with her SG mode costume. Basically turned off all the SG colors on it and left it as her default costume. It's not like any other members of fourth_wall actually seem to play anymore. :-p Losers! ;-) She's on Madeline Casey's story arc (mmmm Madame of Mystery tasty Carnies!) and I'm not really feeling up to dealing with killer clowns at the moment, so she'll wait to finish it. Wondering if she'll be able to take a psychic Elite Boss or if I'll have to suck it up and actually group with her (and possibly face a psychic AV instead). Maybe I'll drop her down to Heroic and sleepwalk through the missions. :-p

Didn't really accomplish too much in DQVIII last night. Mostly went around collecting treasure. I'm apparently missing one in Arcadia, but I can't find it for the life of me. Yangus is all "There's wun left, guv!" and I'm like "BITCH TELL ME WHERE!" and he's all like "huh?" ~_~ Very annoying. I managed to find the mini-medal I had been missing in there, though. And it wasn't one of the Ultimate Key chests, either. It was me missing a breakable barrel. 9_9 So I broke every breakable thing I could find and checked every dresser and bookshelf with nada results. Going to have to yank the Ascantha portion of Red Scarlet's GAMEFAQs guide on the city, since I clearly am too dumb to find it on my own. Next on the world tour of destruction is the Pirate's Cove.

Well, I suppose I'd better get back to work. I've got a lot to do, most of it being really boring and really slow.

VERY LATE EDIT: I can't tell Arcadia from Ascantha, apparently. 9_9 I was tired...

And in other news...

Charter is really ticking me off right now. It's probably not their fault entirely, but we've been having serious internet problems the last few days. This morning I couldn't even get into my email since the webclient was totally down. I'm hoping that since it is back up that this means whatever the hell our problem has been the last few days is finally over. I'm not holding my breath, though.
