Spring Cleaning
The cleaning bug has finally hit! It seems like it's been way over a year since I had a cleaning fit. Fortunately, it's promising to be a nice long cleaning fit. My room is cleaner than it has been in over a year. We're getting pretty much all of our laundry done, too, which is extra nice.
I rearranged my bedroom, which has the kitties very very confused. I basically rotated my bed 90° and put it up against the wall so the head of it is next to my window. This is how it was set up when we first moved in. The dresser moved down like six inches to make room and the end table (Yaffa Blocks) moved under the window. My clothes hamper is next to them now. Made the room bigger, got to vacuum pretty much everywhere, and it's all nice and shiny. Freakishly enough (or not), it made me very very happy. My room is comfortable again. And there's no cat hair on the floor! Okay, there will always be cathair on the floor... I actually like being in my room again, though. Go fig. :-p
So, now the plan is to continue into the hallway, where a lot of our clean and dirty clothing migrated due to cat hair infestations, and finish off all the laundry. There are about 6 loads left, including table cloths, extra bed sheets, and clothing that doesn't fit anyone who lives in the apartment so we're not always sure where it came from. Then I'm going to vacuum the hallway, laundry room, and my bedroom again. Then we'll finish off the living room, and it'll all get vacuumed again, then the dining room and kitchen, and it'll all get vacuumed again. Yes, it's a lot of vacuuming. Yes, it will need it. We have two black cats who tend to explode with each and every step, showering black cat hair on EVERYTHING.
Once that's done, the hope is to keep it all tidy. Which I know isn't going to happen, but I'm going to try.
Well, I think I'm going to take a quick relaxation break before I have to start work this morning.
