It's a Yo-Yo Account!
You know how some people do yo-yo dieting? I apparently do yo-yo banking. ~_~ Once again, I have four overdraft fees staring at me from inside my bank account. For the first time in a long time, however, I'm not in a blind panic about it. Two of them I expected (insurance goes through on the 17th typically, which is almost always Very Bad Timing). The other two were because I wasn't paying close enough attention. One of them is a case of Phenomnallly Bad Timing™.
Last night was bill paying night. Phone bill: Paid (I need to call them and be all "turn the phone back on, damnit!"). Cell Phone bill: Paid. Electric bill: Paid. This leaves the Cable bill and the Gas bill as still behind, and I can probably pay off one of them without issue. Well, if I could log in to either site and get a payment to actually process. The other has to wait two weeks. After that, I have my Dell bill to pay a minimum payment on (It's like $40 or something) and that's it. We're caught up at that point. And now that
carebear_flare is working full time again I can get his bill money and he can get caught up (I suspect he'll be caught up with what he owes us from past bills and what he has yet to owe by the end of January).
We haven't been caught up since we moved into the three bedroom apartment. I paid over $600 in bills last night, if that tells you anything. And I'll still have $200 to make it through the next two weeks even if I don't touch any other bills this year (all, what, 10 days left of it?). Then I'll have another $200 I can put towards bills and $200 more to live on for two weeks (which means food and gas, really).
I even think this means I can keep WoW... I quietly re-subscribed this month, which led to a HILLARIOUS moment as
winterlady was installing Leopard on her machine the same day and we were chatting on Yahoo! and I was like "Does WoW run on it?" and she was like "I dunno yet!" and I was like "Well, find out!" and so she logged in and was typing to tell the guild "I'm online playing on Leopard!" and in the midst of her typing I did a /gu *hides* and so her typing came out as "I'm online playing on Leopard!LETALLI!!!!!!! OMG LETALLIIIIIIII!!" and about twenty billion other lines of hillarity that I sadly forgot to screenshot to post them on every corner of the internet. So, yeah. I needed a break from City of. I missed my WoW friends! But, yeah. If we're really caught up, and I'm not just deluding myself into thinking we're caught up, then I can keep WoW without feeling too guilty about it. Hell, I might even finally be able to pick up a retail box of Hellgate: London. Or a game for the 360.
So, time for me to go back to work (yes, working overtime). So, I'm outta here for now!
Edit at 3:30: Well, I just paid $150 on the cable. Back to wondering how we're getting through the next two weeks.
