I knew this over a decade ago...
And yet, the media continues to act shocked when artificial sweeteners are linked to obesity. At least this one spells out one of the things I learned way way way back in the day. Specifically, that your body says, "Oh! You just ate something that tasted sweet! INCOMING CARBOHYDRATES! GET READY!" Then no carbs actually make it into your system and the body goes, "HOLY SHIT!! WE'RE CRITICALLY LOW ON ENERGY!!! MOAR FOOD!!!" and you proceed to eat the couch.
