Why is it morning???
Today has been quite a busy morning. Once I managed to crawl out of bed, at least. Here's to hoping that the first real day back for most people here is a light one. As it is, I've already done one major application reinstall on a server, had to delay working on every PC in another store until tomorrow because of how long that took, closed out a case for a store in Singapore (HALLELUJAH! they're one of the most difficult stores for me to get ahold of due to the time difference), and sorted out my backlog for things to work on today. And all this was by 8:30 this morning!
Postal service in the US isn't running today in honor of the memory of President Ford. This doesn't really make sense to me (we do the flags at half mast for a month after the death of a President for a reason, y'all), but whatever. It's annoying because we're waiting on some mail from WCC for
satyr_mi and it's driving us batty. Guess we'll wait til tomorrow to see if it shows.

I'm ready for it to be January 16th now. Really! I won't even mind the missing time in the middle if it can be January 16th right now! I'm going to call GameStop (the place I pre-ordered Burning Crusade at) tomorrow to see if they know for sure if they're having the midnight sale. If so, I'll be camping out there to pick up my copies, run home, get our accounts updated for BC access, and then camp the servers until Aggy comes up so I can roll up my Blue Shammy and then drag Letalli through the Dark Portal. So much to do, so much time to wait!
TSGA (The Small Guild Alliance of Aggramar) had a franken-MC run last night. I call it that because it was started by our other MC raid group on Friday or Saturday, and finished primarily by the MC group I run with normally, along with a TON of newbies. We only downed two bosses (Baron Geddon and Shazzrah), but that was pretty good since about half the raid had never set foot in MC before. It's always nice not to have to deal with Core Hounds on your first trip to MC. Unfortunatley, I think some of the folks from earlier had been in the instance farming out some goodies because we started to get respawns on top of us after we downed Geddon, and got more repops on us after we wiped on Shazz in our first attempt on him. And they were repops in places we know we didn't kill anything. It's too bad that we didn't go further in and try out Golemagg. He's such an easy boss fight, and it would have been nice to have the chance at finally getting my Cenarion Vestments. Ah well. One of our newbies got an Epic on her first night in (we did open rolling instead of DKP), and Tkelvara got a nice shiny Bindings of the Windseeker, so much fun was had by all.
Well, it's time for me to get back to work. Break time is over. :(

And yeah, last night was nuts but fun! I'm just glad that for a first time running things that I didn't screw things up too badly. Keep your fingers crossed for next week. ^_^ It's gonna be a blast.

My only real complaint with last night was all the non-raid related chit-chat in vent. I mean, some is fine, but five minute conversations that are totally unrelated to the raid are a bit overkill. I also thought we needed fewer people trying to give instructions. Heh.
And I kept getting Soulstoned. o_O I mean, it was kinda cool, but weird.

I wonder who was soul-stoning you? Eh, you're a bat rezzer - I can kinda see it - weird though. ^_^

Unless you went to the other GameStop...or the other one...I keep forgetting that there are like three in Ann Arbor (including the EB Games in Briarwood, since they are all owned by the same company now).
