So, the potential good news from the other day was definitely good news. See, satyr_mi has hit the 90 attempted credit mark at WCC, and they cut you off from Financial Aid at that point, regardless of when/if you've used it. There's an appeal process, and he was approved, so he gets to keep going to school and doesn't have to find a job yesterday. So, there's a major stress problem gone. Somehow, this led to us having a micro-cleaning frenzy. We only cleaned one room, but we really went to town on it. So our kitchen is all sparkly and shit. Well, okay, we didn't take the fridge outside and hose it down or anything, but close enough.

I attended my first Onyxia raid last night. Super easy raid to run through, especially after all the runs through MC I've done. I was, sadly, one of the four people in the raid of 40 to get beat down in the course of the battle, but hey. I wasn't as special as themaskedbeast, who resisted one of Ony's fear effects and was promptly swatted like a bug for doing so.

Sadly, Ony decided to be a bitchy little loot pinata. She dropped a Mage helm (yay winterlady!)... and a SHAMAN HELM. We don't get Shammy's in the Alliance for two more weeks, and it will be at least a couple weeks or more before any Alliance Shammy's are PL'd up to the point where they can attend Ony raids. Ah well. She dropped a fun little sword, and her usual assortment of standard loots. She was a bitch to us again at skinning time, only coughing up two measly scales.

After Ony was beheaded (and her head was safely stowed in the backpack of one of the Hunter's from my guild), a group of us meandered over to Blackrock Spire to start farming gems for the UBRS attunement. We did the first three bosses in LBRS (the first and third can drop gems), then reset and started over. Sadly, we wiped twice in there to get to that point cuz we went psycho on it. :p But, hey, it can be farmed with 10 people so it's not like it much matters. I had to leave after the first pass, since I had to have a coma so I could be here at work today.

Not sure what I'll be doing tonight. I'll be writing and dropping off the rent check when I get home, then we'll probably watch some HGTV on Tivo. If I get some WoW time in tonight, I may try to get a PUG run of live-side Strat going later in the night. Or maybe a Scholo run, since I do have more to do in there now. I've hit my goal of 125g banked, and now have set a new goal of 150g banked for expansion time. Sort giving up on PVP at the moment. As much as I'd love to get some of the armor in there, I just don't have the time to waste doing it right now. I may just go farm something. Furbolgs would be a nice change of pace from all the Undead farming I've been doing. Or maybe I'll farm up more leather in EPL and maybe get some more Larval Acid to make some NR gear with. Actually, that reminds me that I should go back to EPL and finish getting 30 Crypt Fiend Parts to finish a quest. I think I'll do that.

Anyway, break time is over. Back to work for me.

What's with Onyxia and shammy helms? A friend of mine was complaining to me the other day that all that she dropped last week for his guild was a shammy helm. Zero help to alliance types *G*

We've already gotten a full set if Lawbringer and THREE Judgment helms in two MC/Onyxia raids.

Believe me when I say Horde is just as miffed about it. ;)

Heh. Well, the 2.0 patch enabled Shammy drops for Alliance and Pally drops for Horde. She drops two Tier 2 head pieces. There are 9 Tier 2 head pieces to choose from, and she can drop two of the same helm, so.... It happens all the time as far as the casual observer is concerned. :-p

My UBRS run that got me attuned to BWL had a Shammy spell drop. We were like "Wow... doubly useless... No shammy's yet AND IT IS NOW TRAINABLE!"

The MC runs I've been to haven't, fortunately, had any Earthfury drop (other than some bracers), so we haven't had to cry. Yet. I only have three more pieces of Cenarion to go, though, so I won't much care after that. :-p

It's funniest when you see people still trying to sell the books, especially Ferocious Bite (it's hard enough to give away druid books).

Sadly, since GM loot is only about tier 1.5, I think it's really better to farm cash if you're low. I may still farm for the movement bonus to forms, but I'm not enthused about a pvp grind.
