Binoculars do not make a good telescope replacement

I watched the eclipse last night before going to bed. It was very shiny! Well, other than that entire moon going darkish bit. Looked pretty cool and I had a very nice view of it from my bedroom window. I didn't stay up to watch it start to get light, though, as I needed to be up this morning for work.
