Letalli hit 85 in WoW on Sunday morning. I didn't even have the presence of mind to screenshot the event as it happened. :p

Cataclysm zones completed: Vash'jir, Deepholm, Uldum, Twilight Highlands. Still need to do Hyjal. All dungeons are located, have already done the first two. Decided I'm going to focus on both bear gear and tree gear. Which I guess means I'm not focusing on either one, but hey. I'm only carrying two sets of gear these day anyway. None of this silly "here's a set of cat gear, here's a set of bear gear, here's a set of tree gear" bullshit.

The DC Universe Online NDA has been lifted. I suppose that means I can talk about it now, eh?

That was pretty good. Although I'm starting to get tired of Mary Sue, er Kurty Sue, er the writers shooting their loads all over Kurt's storyline.

That is all.

Well, tomorrow I start a brand new schedule at work. Our hours have changed from starting at 6 am to starting at 7:30 am. On the one hand, thank fucking god that I don't ever have to get up at 4:30 am ever again. On the other hand, getting out of work at 6:30 pm is going to fucking suck.

And we get a metric assload of new temps starting this week. Yes, the week of Thanksgiving. Yes, we are crazy, why do you ask? Fortunately, I won't be the one doing the training, which is good, because I'm going to be really freakin' busy as it is without doing the training. So we'll see how that goes.

For now? Not going to bed yet. I get like an extra hour and a half to sleep and I plan to abuse it, thank you very much.

Got my new glasses today!

And then spent $300 on my new contacts. :p

So, the series premier of No Ordinary Family was tonight. I watched it after watching Glee, even though I had already watched it online.

This show is about a normal, if dysfunctional, family who are completely disconnected from one another until something extraordinary happens in their lives. It stars Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz, with Kay Panabaker and Jimmy M Bennet as their kids. All of them have their own particular problems, and all of them get dealt with in interesting ways.

There are some differences from the unaired pilot, so I'll talk about those, and the episode in general, behind a strategically placed cut. I'm not going to do a recap of the episode, just some thoughts about what I did and did not like, and the changes from the original pilot.

A single what? )

So, the Britney/Brittany episode of GLEE aired tonight. I'll post my thoughts/review below the cut to avoid any spoilers for those who haven't seen it.

Leave Brittany alone. )

So, season premier of GLEE was last night, and we watched it live! I'll put my thoughts behind a cut so as not to spoil anyone who missed it.

Show me on the doll where... )

So, if you didn't notice, I was trying to post every day this month on LiveJournal. Obviously didn't happen this weekend. It's okay, I'll live, but hey. LiveJournal is becoming a bit of a ghost town lately anyway.

So, this weekend we had a Birthday dinner at Keith's sister's place. We had to pick up his niece on the way there. That was kinda hillarious and amusing. We got iTunes gift cards and Keith got a Moshi, which actually arrived at our place on Monday. I also finally read Dead in the Family, the latest Sookie Stackhouse novel. And showed off the Cataclysm beta to a friend who wanted to see it.

Oh, and in a SIGN OF THE APOCALYPSE moment, I cleaned my room and bathroom. No, seriously, they're clean clean. I can see my desk. And my floor. And stuff has been put away. Seriously, y'all, the end times are upon us.

It's amazing what waking up 20 minutes earlier does for your morning. I ate breakfast at home, made my lunch, and made it to work at a relaxed pace. Yay me! And I already went through all of my open cases, so now I'm just waiting for others to get in to work so I can go get some caffination in my body.

In some World of Warcraft news, several months ago I moved my main character off of Aggramar over to Fizzcrank to follow [personal profile] winterlady to her new home and joined up with a guild there that had been allies with us prior to WotLK when they server transfered as a whole to it (it was free, after all). Then, she stopped playing (which was good since she played way too much, and bad because IT'S HER FAULT I'M AN ADDICT), then the main guild members took their mains out and joined a different guild for raiding, and nobody was ever on when I came back after a short hiatus, so I was pondering moving my main back to Aggramar to try to join another former ally guild of ours. Then I log in last night and discover that the entire guild has moved back in and there were like 15 people on last night. :p You have been killed by a WallOfText!

Now I have a reason to log on to the Live servers some instead of just the Cataclysm Beta server. :p

In some non gaming news, I watched more of GLEE on blu-ray last night. ^_^ I really really had forgotten how good the first half of the season was. Seriously, y'all, that show is the best thing on television right now.

New toy to play with. Glad to see they don't have the "Friends" fubar. They call it a "Reading Page" by default! And I can read someone without giving them access to my protected posts.

I'm crossposting to LJ, because honestly, there's nothing I have on LJ that I would care if the public knows about. Seriously. It's not a big deal. It's just that the people running LJ are morons at the moment.

Paid accounts are expensive here, though, so I'll have to think about that one for a bit.

In less exciting news, I woke up at 5:10 this morning. I have to be out the door no later than 5:30. Guess who hasn't had breakfast yet? x_x

So, I mentioned before you should watch Nikita if it ever shows up on the CW site as a full episode a few days ago.

Now's your chance.

If you've enjoyed any spy dramas before, give this one a shot. It's surprisingly good.
jdotmi: (Default)
So, started the day by killing a server at a store. Well, more of finding a dead server at a store.

Ended the day with GLEE! I'd say that makes up for it.

And cheesecake cookies.

So, apparently I overdid the entire workout thing this weekend. Every part of my body aches. :p This is a good thing I think. On the other hand, I spent most of today checking out the shinies in Cataclysm, so it's all good. And I just ate a very tasty alfredo dinner. And I made cheesecake cookies. And I have a pony. Okay not really on that last one.

So, last night I watched the pilot episode of Nikita that I had on my DVR. I actually liked it. What with it being on the CW and all, there was definite cheese fest potential, but it came out pretty good. I'll be keeping this on the DVR at least for a few more weeks. Doesn't look like they've put up a full episode section for it quite yet on the CW site, but if they do and you haven't seen it I recommend checking it out.

And now I'm going to sit here and let my legs yell at me. Just spent around an hour in the work out room and I am so going to feel that later.

My Science Officer in Star Trek Online (not the one in the picture, he's tactical) finally made Captain. And all she got to show for it was a little Not-A-Voyager ship!

My Science Officer became a Captain!
My Science Officer became a Captain!
And now I can fly around in Not-A-Voyager!

Walked outside to get in the car to come to work this morning and was hit by a wave of "holy shit you shoulda brought a coat". It was COLD this morning! I'm not complaining. Anything that keeps me from having to turn on the AC at home is good. Of course, I had to turn the heat on in the car on the way here. Heh.

Had to take a Claritin D this morning. Apparently getting my week of allergies that typically shows up around this time. Fortunately I still have some left from the horrible allergies I had in August thanks to all the freaking heat and humidity that caused the plant life to go all The Happening on us.

Played some Star Trek Online last night. Almost got my Science Officer to Captain. Prolly finish that off tonight. Then I get to fly around in Voyager! Well, okay, it won't be called that, but hey. I have to figure out what I am going to name it, though, because I know had this whole theme going for the names but without looking at the first two ships I can't remember what it was. I just know her current ship is the Mnemosyne.

Okay, co-workers need to get here. I'm starving.
