Sunday Gaming Goodness
So, I didn't sleep at all yesterday after work. Stayed up, played some tricky, went online briefly, got my stuff together, took out the trash and went to John's to game.
I got there around 12:30ish or 1ish or something. John (
templar_rose and Amy (
rainbowravenx were still asleep. So, I watched Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered (mmm, Xandery goodness) and then woke their asses up.
Amy was supposed to drive to Saginaw. She was supposed to get up and leave. An hour after I woke them up, she finally took her pussy-pillow-hat and got out of bed. She came back shortly thereafter, but she was at least mobile. She wound up leaving at like 4 or 4:30. :-p Spazmonkyette. :-p
So Hillary showed up before Amy left. ^_^ YAY! Hillary! And with behbeh in tow! Cute lil behbeh with projectile vomiting powah. Hil was dressed to kill! Awesome costume! She needs to wear that for a larp. Seriously. The outfit rocked. (Yes, she gets dressed up for gaming. No, she doesn't get out much. She has a baby to care for.)
We watched an episode of Buffy, Surprise, and then forced Amy to leave. She got to see Angel/Buffy scrompage at least. Next time I'm over I'll have to let her watch Innocence to get the scary side of that one.
So, Amy heads out. Hil and I head out to Bush's to get some more food so we don't have to order out and pay through the nose. We bugy 4 rising crust red baron pizzas (damn those were good) and some garlic cheese bread. We figured it was cheaper than ordering 3 pizzas, breadsticks, and soda from a pizza place. We were right. We get back and Roach had already arrived. So, we watched another episode of Buffy, Dopplegangland, because Willow in leather is always good and John needed time to write some notes up for the game. Then, the game started.
By now it was... 6? Almost? Amy's parents called wondering where she was since she had not gotten to Saginaw yet. We told them she had left a little late and she should be there soon. Gaming continued. Hour and a half later her parents call again. Turned out that a tanker had exploded on northbound I75 and taken out part of the expressway. So she couldn't get home, she had to get off the expressway, and come back. She wound up meeting her dad elsewhere to get what she needed, then got back in time to, well, not game much cuz it was pretty well over.
I got to do some nifty stuff. My vampire survived a degeneration check without a loss of Humanity. My verbena got snarky on an old hermetic, and then emailed the vampire with his name, which she recognized as the name of the ghoul of one of her superiors, and is now thoroughly unhappy that they have sent her on a wild goose chase in terms of information that they already had and didn't bother to tell her and whatnot.
Oh, gaming word of advice. Always kill the messenger.
