Nichelle grew up in a large, religious family in the south. Every Sunday she went to church and sang in the gospel choir. She memorized her bible verses and was a good, obedient girl. She would often say grace at family meals. Her family moved to Ohio when she was 14 years old. When she grew up, she attended and graduated from a Nursing program at the University of Michigan. Shortly after that she married her long-time boyfriend, Reggie.
Reggie and Nichelle had 4 children together and spent a lot of time volunteering at the local church. Nichelle helped run the Gospel Chorus and even ran the Sunday Women's Group.
After 12 years of marriage, the couple began travelling to different churches to volunteer for those who needed help. One such trip led them to a newer church with a fervent and impassioned preacher. They sat in on the service where the preacher spoke with such vehemence that the audience seemed as if they were going to go into a frenzy. The preacher pulled Reggie up to the stage and murdered him, drawing wild cries of belief from the crowd.
Nichelle's eyes opened, and she saw the preacher for what it truly was. A horrifying demon sucking the very faith from the gathered masses. Filled with a new righteous fury at the murder of her husband, she called upon an Angel of the Lord to smite down this pretender and bring justice to the deluded zealots in her midst. The Demon barely had time to recognize this new threat to his power before he was utterly consumed by the crushing hammer of divine power she swung at him.
Consumed with grief, Nichelle left her family and her job, travelling for several years before a group of Choristers found her and took her in. After filling her with the unconditional love and purity of The One, they inducted her into their ranks. To this day, she continues to seek out heretics and heal those wounded by their horrid deeds.
