Ok, attempt three, LJ is slow....

Well, LiveJournal appears to still be having issues. I'm getting all sorts of fun errors trying to access it right now (9:40 am, been off and on since 9:00 am here).

I was at least able to read my friends pages to catch up. Methinks the DDoS has ramped up again and they're feeling the pain. status.livejournal.com isn't reporting anything in particular, however. Not sure what to make of that.

So, right after my last post, I was going to hit redial on the phone to call John's house to see if he got home yet when my phone rang. O_o That was freaky. It turned out to be Tiny (griffonisrex) and Hilly (zute69)! Hillarious that I had just missed them. Turns out they had gotten to John's house and saw the tire tracks from me turning around in the snow and went back to McDonald's, where they had called me from initially, and were calling back to see if I came home. Yay for luck! So, we talked for a bit, and decided to meet at Checkerboard Inn to eat and chat before going back to John's to wait for him. Food was good. Met Tiny's friend, Rory. Saw the initial character sheets for their characters. Talked about DRAMA in various lives, and then paid for food and meandered on back to John's to wait.

About an hour and a half later, John got back from the convention he was at. Some chat was needed at this point, due to issues, and after a bit of a cheering up we got down to business. Well, actually, in all honesty, we got down to waiting for more people to show and I went to Bush's to get soda.

About this time, I noticed that Amy (rainbowravenx) had, brilliantly, managed to get her car stuck in a snow bank. :-p She didn't recognize me at first. Something about me no longer having facial hair. :-p She did get herself unstuck eventually (after an episode involving sauce pans) and was then able to take Kevin home just as we were, finally, starting to game.

Best thing of the game? Pretty simple. There were a lot of people, including Ed and Amber (amberthistle)! Yay! Very exciting. Because, you know, no game is complete without THREE RAVNOS running wild...

So, we had a large group. Me (2 characters), Hillary, Roach, Jimmy, Ed, Amber, Tiny, Rory, Heather (did her character finally get to play?), and two people who I don't know... and I only remember that one (Cat? Kat? Correct sound, not sure on spelling) was playing a Sabbat Assamite and one was playing a nifty mage.

Highlight of the night: Blowing up a nephandic node/bar in the middle of London (11 successes on my Lure of Flames roll to make the liquor in the bar rack explode). And managing to save Jimmy's ass in the process.

God I'm totally ready for LiveJournal to come back to life here. I'm going to start twitching here if it doesn't come up soon. I need my fix... MUST HAVE MY JOURNAL FIX KKTHXDRIVETHRU!!!!

Oooh I just got the Update Journal screen up. Going to post this now while I have the chance!!! VICTORYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
