Gaming Sunday
Hooray for gaming. Un-hooray for lack of sleep. x_x I think I'm going to start sleeping on Sunday mornings so I don't have to put up with trying to be awake for umpteen million hours on weekends. x_x
Went over to John's fairly early in the afternoon since he was up. Having slept all day on Saturday, it's easy to see why he was awake. We chatted, he told me about getting rip roarin' plastered, and we discussed upcoming plot points for the game. Well, plot point since he would need assistance creating the actual NPC stats for an NPC he had created a year ago. :-p Spazmonkey.
Hilly came over and the three of us chatted. Discussed the state of various chaotic, dysfunctional love lives in our circle of friends and commiserated about our general position of misery in said affairs at the current time. (... note to self, don't ever write a sentence like that again ...) We talked about the gaming styles of various people in the group and the way the chronicle has been fashioned thus far. Also talked about John's style of GMing. It was cool.
We opted to go get food since all three of us were hungry. And Carla was being amazingly quiet and well behaved, so we decided to get to it while the getting was good. We we're just finishing planning when Amy got there. She and John talked a bit, tension level in the room went up to about the level of the San Andreas fault, and the three of us bailed and went to Checkerboard. Nothing like pizza and caffeine to calm jittery nerves.
No arguing with the logic of that last sentence kk thx drive thru.
We chatted. We ate. We went back. People started arriving. Made a character with John. Tried answering some of Jimmy's questions about the difference between Hedge Magic and Awakened Magik. He didn't really get it, but that's ok. He was at least correct in saying that both types can be extremely powerful.
Then, we watched "The Others" while preperation was finishing up and then we gamed! Summaries will soon be available on
lisastall regarding that.
I only caught parts of "The Others" including the ending. "Oh no! He ruined the movie for himself! He saw the ending early!" Whatever. I usually know how movies end before I watch them. :-p Get over it. But, of course, knowing the ending now, I really really want to see the movie in it's entirety. I'm not really a fan of scary movies, but ghost stories have the potential to give the best ideas for gaming.
Ok. Time to do work and, hopefully, wake up.
