Food issues

I'm going back to a healthier diet. And a cheaper diet. I had been spending upwards of $20+ per day on food. I, obviously, cannot afford this. Yesterday I spent just over $5 on food, not counting dinner with Lisa. Today I've spent less than $5 on food.

Yesterday:
1 cheese omelet
4 slices of toast
1 bottle of orange juice
2 chicken parm lean pockets
4 24 oz bottles of water (2 purchased, refilled once each)
chicken pizza/bread sticks with [livejournal.com profile] eligrrl ($30 spent, will also be dinner tonight if keith didn't eat it all, technically got 5 meals out of it)

Today:
1 cheese omelet
2 slices of toast
1 bottle of orange juice
2 chicken parm lean pockets
4 24 oz bottles of water (2 purchased, refilled once each)
chicken pizza for dinner (leftovers, barring them being all eaten already)

This is reason number 1 I want the kitchen cleaned. Home cooking is always cheaper than eating out or ordering out. Of course, if my friends lived closer and if more of them drove, having friends over to eat with would be easier. I like having people over for food/tv/whatever because, well, otherwise it's just me and the cats.

it'll be omelette, toast, oj, croissant pockets (out of lean pockets) water, and... unknown. tonight won't be pizza, actually. Keith is eating the last couple slices. Probably going to make either some baked chicken or some mac-n-cheese. Or both. because chicken goes nicely in alfredo flavored mac-n-cheese.

I do have tuna, but the chicken was dirt cheap.

Large bags of store brand frozen chicken breast. Very cheap stuff. And it bakes very nicely.
