Welcome new friend, [livejournal.com profile] lonespiritwolf2. Interesting to note that LiveJournal has stopped counting Communities in the "count" for "Friend Of" now. This is good.

Sleep Deprivation:
Well, the rescue of [livejournal.com profile] templar_rose was supposed to be fast and painless. It was painless, but was not fast. Hence, no ability to go hang out with [livejournal.com profile] griffonisrex yesterday at his place. :-\

I did manage to get home by 11:30ish and get to bed. Slept nicely too, even with the pager actually managing to function at 3:30 in the morning. I was shocked it worked. Happy, but shocked.

Half-Concious Agreements:
[livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi swapped keys on my keychain last night, so I have his car today. Going to get an oil change done for it and gas it up since gas is cheaper than it has been in months. Not as cheap as I would like it to be (maybe [livejournal.com profile] nofunk81 will get proven correct after all) but it's way better than the crap prices I payed last week. Hoping he gasses up my car while he has it, as I was going to do that and my own oil change today (ok, so I lied when he asked if I had done mine, I have 2k more miles on my car than he has on his, damnit! :-p).

Was vaguely annoyed as I pressed the button to unlock my door and his car unlocked. I know he told me at some point last night when I was so not awake that he had done something with keys, but still. I was going to do his tomorrow because I have a half day. Plus even if I didn't I could just park his car outside Booth and drive him to it when he went home from work.

Other annoyance is that because both keys on my keychain were, well, his, I have the garage door opener because I was almost late getting out the door and didn't have time to get it upstairs.

Obligatory AnalAngel Postage:
WOW! That episode kicked serious ass last night. *shake shake shake* "Definitely"

[livejournal.com profile] templar_rose asked if a certain thing meant a certain someone was taking a certain else-one's virginity. All things considered... DUH!

As an aside, if Angel gets picked up next year, I'd love to see Gwen as a regular or more regular-recurring regularish... Ok brain has had no caffiene yet... Suffer with my lack of grammar.

Gaming:
Time spent with [livejournal.com profile] templar_rose of course leads to gaming talk. Lots of it. Lots of nifty stuff. Lots of me going, "Do you realize what Miranda can do given time? Do you know what she can do now? Do you know how badly she can fuck with ANYONE now???" More of me going "I really didn't think Theresa would be anything more than a filler character to show up now and then. Honest, I didn't expect her to cause a Religious Experience at a Goth S&M nightclub in London!"

More stuff later. Probably do some gaming posts over in [livejournal.com profile] lisastall. In particular, going to build up a rote that I developed for Miranda. Nice little spell. ^_^

Angel, Gwen, and Door #3

From: [identity profile] paeryn.livejournal.com
In my daily obsesso-spoilage I ran across an interview with Dave Greenwalt that hinted that, should Angel be renewed next year, it'll be a totally different format--new living arrangement, new scenery, etc, something about white spaces and working at something resembling an ad agency? More interesting is his promise of buffy-verse cameos and a BUFFY-VERSE character added to the show! And, since Xander and his publicist have firmly denied his crossover power, my bet is on Willow--since that way she could hang with Alexis daily. That said, Willow would make Fred obsolete....so.

I know! I read that today too.

I'm guessing it would be Willow. Only other obvious one would be Spike, but I just don't see that happening. He'd never leave Buffy and Dawn.

But an obsolete Fred? Me thinks not. Could be Dawn, I suppose, if everyone died...I agree about Spike, btw--there's too much bad blood there, and with the spoilers coming out about Buffy's finale, there'll be even more--he won't be the crossover, if there is one. Here's another question--if they won't make any decisions regarding Angel's return until May, how do the writers know whether or not to write a story-arc that may/may not dovetail into a future year of the show?

I don't really see it making Fred obsolete. Part of it is I don't know the character all that well. I admit to missing a decent sized chunk of the last two seasons on the actually watching the show front, but I read summaries left and right ('specially Loey's early bird reviews) She was crazy chick who was a science geek, then she was Gunn's girlfriend, then she's research gal with a sadistic streak. I mean, you still have her as a romantic foil to Wesley and Gunn. Willow, obviously, ain't gonna be playin that part.

Of course, I look at it as akin to bringing Worf ont DS9. You just go "huh?" for a bit. They'd have to have a pretty compelling reason to bring any of the characters over to L.A. and be able to develop them. As it is, Angel's got a hefty cast going.

Of course, the way things are being hinted at, anything could happen on both shows. I actually suspect that Angel may be losing some characters by the end of the season, but I'm not certain. The Sunnydale carnage could be anything, too. *shrugs*

I honestly hope Willow would stick around. I think she'd like being able to work with her beau, but she may also be thinking it's time to try something new.

I think the writers are just writing the show to tell the stories. I think the season will end on a definitive note, but leaving something for the future. Of course, you never know. Last season was a cliffhanger from hell, after all. And this is supposed to be all major apocalypse time right now.

*shrugs*
