I do Tech Support for Borders Books & Music stores. I sit here, answer phone calls from the stores, answer email from the stores, run reports, use some pro-active monitoring systems, and basically screw around for 8 hours and pretend I'm doing something constructive.
Well, in all honesty I do get a lot of work done during a workday. I just have lots of practice at multi-tasking. :-p
Of course, that's just my weekday job.
I have a second job that I work midnights on weekends doing virtually nothing for an obscene amount of money. Computer systems monitoring for Booth Newspapers, which owns 8 newspapers in Michigan. I run maintenance scripts, a couple backups, and monitor the systems at the plants remotely to make sure everything is functioning. If something breaks, I call someone at home and wake their ass up. :-p Some things I can fix, but most things I'm not allowed to fix.
