This is an attempt by me at a different type of entry. An actual day-summary. I do a lot of vague "this that and the other thing" posts, but I haven't really posted what a day is like for me. So, here it goes. Yes, I am format stealing from [livejournal.com profile] wicked_wish to an extent. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery and all that. ;-)

Sunday began as Sundays typically do for me. With a groggy whimper. I had napped for a couple hours late Saturday evening, got up, got dressed, and meandered on in to work. The nap, and a good days sleep on Saturday, allowed me to actually stay awake and coherent for the entire shift. I listened to the soundtrack to Once More With Feeling about 5 times, chatted on the phone for a while with [livejournal.com profile] nofunk81, and played some Worms World Party, Solitaire, and Freecell. Did a brief catch up on my LiveJournal Friends page and generally was non-productive. Great way to spend an 8 hour shift.

I got all of my work done in a very timely manner. Sundays are the "slow" night for me at work. It's not that it's really that much less work (one thing I do on Saturdays I don't do on Sundays, joy of joys), it's just that everything I have to do on Sunday is pretty much ready to be done when I walk in the door. It's just the way the Newspaper world works.

During the course of my "work", I read up on rules systems for a couple of the game lines being run in the chronicle so that I could play Rules Boy™ when people needed a clarification on something. I always wind up catching some new facet when I re-read the rules. This is definitely a good thing.

I got out of work and drove home. Got inside, said hello to my kitties, and fed them. They were quite happy to have food. You'd think we never feed them with how much they beg. Considering that William, as Keith put it, is growing breasts, we know that this is totally not the case. After feeding them, I went into Keith's room (trying not to wake him up and failing miserably) and collected my Sims: Superstar CD from his computer. He managed to pass right back out as I left. This was a happy thing. Of course, he almost had Kittens all over his room, but I managed to shoo them away.

I went into my room and turned on my computer. At this point, things became something of a blur. I know I ate some cereal and cleaned up a little bit in the hallway. A couple hours later I started making mac & cheese for lunch. I played The Sims for a while, throwing a party with my Party family I made and getting some star power mojo on for Elden Hick. I created Sim-Me, Sim-Keith and had Sim-Us adopt Sim-William and Sim-Daniel. Since Keith wants a puppy, I also made Sim-Us adopt Sim-Randy the golden retriever puppy. I didn't finish our Sim-Home, and may, in fact, start over from scratch when I'm not desperately in need of not being concious.

I chatted with Keith for a bit when he decided to wake up. We amused ourselves with the confusion of Kittens trying to figure out which litter box to use*. I showed him the things I was doing in The Sims and he decided he wants SimEnahncer or something like it. :-p We'll see what we can do about that. Just after I was done eating, [livejournal.com profile] brigittefires called me to ask where I wanted to meet them (her, [livejournal.com profile] templar_rose, and [livejournal.com profile] zute69 for lunch. As I looked at the empty bowl that had formerly been mac & cheese I let her know that I would pass.

Keith went to take a nap and I decided to finally get ready for game and head over to [livejournal.com profile] templar_rose's place. Of course, when [livejournal.com profile] brigittefires had called, I didn't realise who all was with her, so did not know that [livejournal.com profile] templar_rose would not be home yet. As I was driving over, I passed through Pinckney and noticed that "Art in the Park" was happening. I had the vague thought that this could mean that he was there**, but was unconcerned and proceeded on my merry way. I got to the house and noted that no-one was home. Well, Aaron was there waiting as well and he was as confused as I was as to the whereabouts of the rest of the gaming crew. I arrived at around 3:45 or so.

A girl whose name escapes me and Brian arrived for game. They hung out with Aaron some, and it slowly dawned on me that the girl was dating Brian. I had seen her at John's several times before, and I knew she was interested in gaming. I used to babysit Brian (his mom was my high school choir director) and was vaguely amused by the entire situation.

John and company arrived sometime around 4:30 (I was not paying attention to clocks), after I had skimmed Vampire: Victorian Age and had glanced through Blood Magic: The Secrets of Thaumaturgy. The trio chatted a bit about their weekend (and a hillarious tale of police and pizza) and we waited for the rest of the gaming crew to arrive. I decided to head to Bush's to pick up munchies for folks and took the girl whose name escapes me with me. This is when the dating thing was confirmed and whatnot.

We got back to controlled chaos. Because the people renting the back room had moved out, the gaming crew was able to take over again. Hillary and Heather were busy organizing John's life*** and John was chatting on the phone. The Great Coffe Brewing Fiasco commenced, and John began talking to GirlNameHuh and Brian about the characters they wanted to make. More people arrived for game and we got off to our grand start!

At 8:00 pm.

O_o

*twitch*

The attendees had grown to include [livejournal.com profile] griffonisrex, Rory, Holly, and Roach. I was very excited. Gaming commenced, Heather2**** arrived and joined in, Heather and Hillary utterly disturbed [livejournal.com profile] griffonisrex with ice cream navels***** and a good time was had by all.

After a long, humorous scene montage, I exited the building (it was now very very very early Monday morning) and went home and tried to pass out. Keith was trying to talk to me as I lay in bed zoning out. He asked me something, I said "uh-huh", and he said "You didn't even hear me, did you?" At this point I was very confused and went "wha?" and he told me he had asked me if I was asleep.

I don't remember him leaving my room.

And that, as they say, is that.

*We had bought a much larger litter box for the kittens at Meijer on Saturday and had both boxes in the laundry room. They would literally go into one, do their thing, and then go into the OTHER one to do their thing AGAIN.
**If I have a "vague thought" regarding John's whereabouts in a situation like that, I should know that it is 100% accurate by now. There's this near-psychic connection between the two of us. It's very odd.
***That being, of course, all of the various character sheets and gaming papers in his house.
****There are two Heather's in game. Heather2 refers to Roach's girlfriend. Roach and Heather2 are the players of the Changelings in the game.
*****Hillary is [livejournal.com profile] griffonisrex's cousin. Heather and Hillary were eating ice cream off of eachother.
