Memories

I found my high school yearbook from the year I graduated yesterday. Makes me miss a lot of people from then. My junior and senior years of high school were incredible. I actually became involved in things at school and was really enjoying myself.

It's kinda funny. I look back at it now and think of all the fun that I was having. All the things I got to do.

The really really really bad hair.

I think to myself: "Was hair really that bad in the mid 90s?? I mean, come on, I graduated in 1996, hair couldn't have been that bad, could it? I mean, my hair wasn't REALLY that bad..."

There are a couple teachers that taught at my high school that I look at their pictures now and I'm like "They're my age... Wait.. no..." The Chemistry teacher was very young looking, as was the band director. They were also two of the best teachers I had at that school.

God, I look back at the people I don't see anymore. Some of them I wish I had kept in contact with. Some are already gone forever.

I think the worst was shortly after moving here, though. I was looking at the yearbook from the year before I graduated. On one page is this great picture of my cousin, Lysie, smiling out at the camera with a friend of hers. It's hard to believe she's been gone for over two years now.

I think yearbooks are the greatest thing in the world. As much as you may try to run from it, or as bad as it may have sucked, you will always have something of a memory for that time. College is just a blur for me. A handful of pictures and a student loan.

Oh well. Time for some TV.

Thing I hate most about being single: falling for someone. It never works out. And it happens to me way too much.
