I recommend hiding*.

*nods sagely*

Holy Mary Mother of Google!:
Normally, that would say "Administration:", but I am participating in [livejournal.com profile] shadesong's pimp-fest, so... yeah.

Welcome to [livejournal.com profile] bugfish (eep, another co-worker ;-)), [livejournal.com profile] mightyafrodite, [livejournal.com profile] shawnj (yes, I know, I just said he wasn't on my list yesterday. bite me. Not an offer), [livejournal.com profile] multicolours, and [livejournal.com profile] mystic9429!

I suspect tomorrows list will be similarly large.

Worky Worky:
Doesn't suck so much today. We do have the odd missing person, but we don't have a big festering hole of nothingness that we had yesterday. Plus the bosses are actually here today. This is good. I can now torment Kerry with my shiny new Angel calendar. Hmm. Maybe I should move it to make it more prominent.

Stupid PS2:
Well, it turns out that the PS2 doesn't like Pirates of the Carribean. Or at least the extra features disc. I think I'm going to futz around and hook the real DVD player back up, since we are probably never going to get the big TV fixed. Well, ok, we probably will, but not anytime soon. We would have last Friday, but sleep sorta won over productivity.

The Sims:
Almost done with The Sims: Bustin' Out for Gamecube. I have one more storyline house to complete and a few missions in the storyline house I'm in, then it's off to the big mansion to do the missions there. Then it's all over. Then I'll probably put it away and never play it again. :-p

Cleaning:
Nope. Still done jack and shit in that particular order regarding cleaning my room. The problem is that I made a mess. Since I did this, I have no desire to look at the room. :-p This is bad. I mean, it's literally books and clothing, so you'd think that it wouldn't be hard to clean up. Of course, you might also think the sky is lime green, in which case I would point you to the nearest doctor to find out exactly what you are on so I can get some.

Gaming Thoughts:
I'm enjoying the Werewolf game that [livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi is running. I just think it's going a bit slowly right now. Ok, correction, a lot slowly. And it's partially my fault. You know, the entire working 12am to 8am on the day we game sorta means we don't start until it's possible for me to wake up again. :-p Part of the problem is I wasn't expecting the game to be that long. Initially it was planned out as around 5 or so "episodes". It seems like it's been longer than that. Plus I didn't really flesh out my character in any huge detail because it was supposed to be fairly short term, which is resulting in me not being very attached to said character. This is usually problematic for me. Why? Makes it very hard to play unless it is a gimmick character.

Bei Ling (my Kitsune described in [livejournal.com profile] lisastall) is a gimmicky character. Easy to play and keep going. Not much built in character history or motivation, but she's playable.

Miranda (also in [livejournal.com profile] lisastall) isn't supposed to be gimmicky, but because I didn't make a detailed history of her or really figure her out in advance, she's very hard to play.

Morrigan (also in [livejournal.com profile] lisastall) is one hell of a gimmick, but a story-driven gimmick who wound up with a LOT of character and backstory and motivation.

Arishayar (also in [livejournal.com profile] lisastall) isn't supposed to be a gimmick, has something of a history, but is not easy to play. Largely because she doesn't fit well at all in the game she was played in.

Lisa ([livejournal.com profile] lisastall, duh!) is a character I have had in one form or another since I started gaming. She started as a silly character. She retains that sillyness, but has gained a scary level of awareness she didn't posess in earlier incarnations. She has consistently been one of the easiest and most fun characters I've ever played.

Then, we have Matthew. He's my werewolf. He's not a gimmick character (well, ok, I don't typically play male characters, but that's not a gimmick), but he doesn't have a lot of personality of his own. He's snarky, but I think that's more of me showing through than the character. He's had a character-defining event happen recently, and it's pushing him to not just be the follower. Of course, I didn't WANT to play him as a problem solver type, but now he's kinda stuck in that role. And I really should spend the 14 or so experience I have banked on him... </tangent> I dunno, though. He doesn't hold my attention as well as some of my other characters. I'm beginning to think this is an inherent problem I have whenever I play Werewolf, because it happened with the last Werewolf I played as well (Carmina).

Ok, done rambling on that (now that I've derailed a generic type update into a gaming ramble from hell).

Buffyness:
I'm thinking of/planning to/wanting to have some sort of Buffy event again soon. It's been a very long time since the last one. Now that the holidays are finally over, I think I can actually consider it. I now have Season 5 on DVD. I think the last party ([livejournal.com profile] templar_rose, [livejournal.com profile] brigittefires, [livejournal.com profile] zute69, and Lisa) was a Season 4 gig. This time I'm thinking just Season 5 and lots of audio commentary stuff. They really are that good. And they're everywhere. Yes, The Body will probably be one of the episodes. No, it isn't less depressing watching it with commentary.

Ok. Enough of that. Just wasted 25 minutes of my lunch break typing. Go me!

I want to play D&D. Real D&D. You know, the kind with a table and pencils and paper and dice and books and junk food and mountain dew and pizza and pez and more mountain dew and lighters and chase scenes in basements and the ping/pong rings and Callista finishing eating Tracy.

...

What? Didn't your D&D have all those things?
