Daylight saving time can blow me...
Administration:
Happy belated birthday to
8x10glossy!
Daylight Saving Time:
Okay. Now, I'm all about driving home from work when it is light out. No panic attacks while driving home is a good thing. However...
Waking up in the morning sucks ass. It probably wouldn't be so bad, other than the fact that I was getting used to sleeping in until 8:30 or 9 every day last week. This morning I'm lucky I got out of bed at 7:45 so I wasn't late for work. Seriously, this shit sucks.
Oopsie:
So, like, one of my nice and comfortable pair of jeans got a rip in them a few weeks back. It's a rip in a spot that should be blatantly obvious when putting them on while getting dressed. Of course, looking one paragraph above this one, you would realize that I wasn't even aware that I had woken up, let alone taken a shower or managed to grab that one pair of jeans that I thought I had thrown out due to them being completely unrepairable. So, now I sit creatively. :-p
Worky Worky:
More responsibilities is a good thing, right? I mean, in theory it could point towards a possible promotion or some such. Actual promotion puts me one step closer to quitting the other job. It's turning that "possible" into "actual" that has me worried. I mean, I sit here at work all day with almost convinced that I am completely faking my way through this job and have snowed everyone over as to the fact that I know nothing about which I am talking about while here. Of course, that's the same part of me who thinks I can't sing worth shit and am incapable of academic success.
Then there's the logical side of me that knows that I pick things up faster than anyone I have ever met in my entire life and that I had my piano instructor convinced I practiced all the time when I was virtually sight-reading most of my piano pieces in my lessons. Of course, then I had an actual sight-reading exercise in my lesson and she was on to me, but still. I also only practiced my voice pieces two or three times a week outside of my lessons and still managed to get pretty nice grades.
So, yeah. Work stuff. I really would like a promotion. I definitely could use the raise. It's not like I'm going to get a huge raise for my yearly performance review, after all. I think I do pretty good work. Lord knows I'm more thorough than some co-workers, but that may not necessarily be a good thing. Of course, true to typical form, I also try to be quiet and let everyone else do all the talking. :-p We'll see what happens.
Taxes:
I really need to do my taxes. Like, now. I have to pay on federal, here's to hoping I get money back from state. ~_~ Very annoying.
Ok, out of things to ramble about for now.
