Okay.. so what have I missed???

Administration:
Happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] nomorescience!

?skip=150:
Yeah, that's how far back I had to go this morning while perusing my reading list here. I will not even pretend that I actually read every letter of every post between here and there, but I did skim everything that wasn't lj-cut, and even read a few things that were.

One of the best things about a few day break from LiveJournal is the pictures. There are a few photographers on my list who post pictures frequently (the most frequent being [livejournal.com profile] tyskkvinna, who takes AMAZING pictures, and she paints too!) and that's always a good way to start the day.

Gaming Stuff:
Shadowrun last night. It was fun! Okay, so we didn't quite pull the run off successfully, but none of us died, and we may get some money and a second or third run out of it. Not from the same Johnson, mind you. This guy was a retard compared to our usual Johnson. It was supposed to be a "simple" retrieval. Sure, it's simple when the person holding your retrieval target doesn't have a fun little mind control mojo going with 38 random people and the target itself appears to be a quasi-sentient magical artifact that is boosting/creating/affecting the guys powers. Although, we did get two pages out of the book...

Rentals:
[livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi nabbed some movies and games from the rental place last night. So far, we've played one of the games and he watched one of the movies. The game which we played (and which we WILL be buying) is Burnout 3: Takedown. Massive car explosions is a good thing. ^_^

Well, I'm going to post this as I keep getting distracted (gee, it's Sunday, is this a surprise? NO!) and then I'll be on my merry working way.

...that that ?skip=150 was only on my Default View, which does not include syndicated feeds, communities, or LJ News communities.

:-p
jdotmi: (Kung Ru)
So I've been playing on the test server for City of Heroes testing out all the new stuff that will be going in with Issue 2. All I can say is, SWEET! Going to totally have to delete like half my characters and start over. :-p The beginning is a lot more interesting. You can skip the tutorial (although, free level, so not sure why, although you don't get influence or drops for it either, so that could be why). One of the NPCs in the tutorial is no longer a garden variety cop as well. Then your missions have changed a lot once you get out. Oh, sure, you get the "beat the living tar out of x Hellions" kinds of things, but the indoor missions? Heh. Burning walls... conjuration tables... wandering mobs.

My one complaint with the first mission my Magic Scrapper got last night was that it went from the "5 Hellions" to "Defeat all Hellions in the Warehouse" which used to be a very short warehouse with about 5 to 8 Hellions in it. It now is a full size (albeit, still medium low in size) office complex (all on fire) loaded to bear with enemies, half of which were one level higher than I was. o_o

Got to level 5. Love the new Storm Kick for MA Scrappers, by the way. Went to my Level 5 contact and he... is sending me to the Hollows! ^_^ Going to possibly putz around with that tonight to see what's what.

I also went hopping around Paragon City with Kung Ru (freshly copied from Pinnacle) and collected a big load of exploration badges. Got all of them in Atlas Park, Galaxy City, King's Row, Perez Park, Steel Canyon, and Skyway City. Probably going to go bounce around Boomtown and Faultline next. Then I might go poking around Talos Island and parts of Independence Port for those ones.

It'll be nice when this goes live and I can get more missions for Ru. I'll probably start doing a cheap "beat on a few gang members and reset the mission" thing to get her out of debt. :-p Safer than trying to get out any other way currently. :-p Well, that and I can reverse-sidekick myself down to help out [livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi with his stuff! ^_^

So, I'm very excited about all the new goodies. ^_^ Going to be tons of fun to play with!
