Monday Morning Update
Administration:
Happy belated birthdays to
bloodtalon and
uberspoon! I know I'm late, but weekends and LiveJournal don't mix well for me anymore. :-p
Calling In:
Called in on Friday. Seems so long ago now. Wound up getting the cleaning done we needed to finish. Wound up partially losing my voice. That happened again on Saturday. Finally kept voice on Sunday. Much rejoicing ensued.
Spending 40% Less:
Went to Borders in Brighton with
satyr_mi,
lilacmoon5, and Jason and spent $212. After the 40% discount, that is.
Bought Road of Kings and Road of the Beast for Dark Ages: Vampire. Also bought the boxed set of the first four Harry Potter novels and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Picked up The Unapproachable East as well. Don't remember what everyone else got, but I know one of Keith's purchases was a CD of remixed 80s tunes.
Reading:
All told, it took me 3.5 hours to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I did have to stop during it, however, due to a sudden, severe headache I developed. Read it at work Sunday morning. Started to read Chamber of Secrets and am at Chapter 4 now.
Gaming:
Game on Saturday was fun. Highly amusing things happened, albeit we did get quite the late start. Dinner was very good. Sadly, this means I'm going to want to buy that chicken some more... If only to have something to bake for quickie dinners at home... Those would make good chicken sandwiches...
Sunday's game was interesting, to say the least. Drama bad, fire pretty. Fire very pretty, actually. I got the candles that
satyr_mi and I ordered from
brigittefires! =^_^= Keith was pleased.
Excercise:
Not in the forseeable future for me. Not that I don't want to, but, well, I want to be home. I need to be home. Yes, this is stress. No, working out will not make it go away because the stress is directly related to me never being home. I'll get my groceries, deposit my extra check from the shopping spree, and go home.
