Because I don't ramble enough anymore...

jdotmiWell, power went out Thursday afternoon shortly after 4. If you did not know this occurred, you can be declared legally dead.
Or maybe you could be President. Not sure. He seemed to notice it happened, though.
So, suffered through a long while of hell (it was pushing 85 in our apartment), got to pitch most of the stuff in the fridge (including the 2 gallons of milk we had just bought on sale). Got Friday off of work, but then power came back on and my boss had the nerve to ask me if I could come in. I had not showered and it was 85. I smelled like my cat box. I don't fucking think I'm coming into work.
So, I went to my Mom's place with Keith. She fed us and kindly let us shower and do laundry. We called Booth (the other job, aka Keith's full time one) who said we did need to work. So, we went home after laundry was done, picked up some things, fed and watered the cats, and went to work together.
Hey, the place had AIR CONDITIONING. I'm not complaining!
Played Civ 3 for a few hours there while Keith worked. Then one of our co-workers called to say Whitmore Lake had power again, so around 8 or so we drove back so I could be at home for a couple hours and Keith wouldn't have to sleep on the floor at work.
Rest of the weekend was fairly uneventful. Other than the pitching of things that smelled nasty and whatnot.
Yesterday was bizzare. I kept forgetting today was Tuesday, if that gives you any indication. :-p I keep pondering stopping to get some groceries and kitty litter, but I can't until at least one of my paychecks goes through this week. I already cleaned the litter, but I don't like not having fresh litter in the house. I was supposed to change it this weekend but without litter it didn't happen.
Today I found out that I'm changing cubicles at work. Tomorrow. Great for the advance warning and all that. ~_~ Yeesh.
I've been sorta swamped keeping up with stuff lately. LJ I can skim through, but I haven't been reading everything like I should. And keeping in touch with friends is just completely not happening. :-p And I missed game again, albeit everyone was at Fest anyway so it's not like it mattered.
Well, that's my 3 minute (more like 7 by my clock) update. I'll try to post more! Well, maybe... If I actually get to be bored at all. :-p
