When Worlds Collide
LiveJournal is an interesting place.
I was just reading
tyskkvinna's journal and a thought occurred to me.
LJ has caused two of my "worlds", which are incredibly different, to collide headlong into eachother in a fairly random fashion.
A big part of my net identity is the character of Ruann E`Paul, halfling druid of the
fourth_wall. Also known as Ruann Epaul, Briton Friar of the Fourth Wall. Also known as Ruann, the Solitus Martial Artist of the Fourth Wall. I use this name over on EZboard, which is where the guild had it's forums for quite some time. Through EZboard, and a slight addiction to The Sims, I found Neighborhood 99. This lead to much hillarity and gender confusion. See, Ruann's a girl. I am so totally NOT. I still confuse people on those forums when I tell them that yes, indeed, I am male.
Mind you, Ruann was originally Ruanne Paul in a Forgotten Realms game. If you can't figure out who I modeled the character after from that spelling of the name, I suggest you go here and find out. :-p
So, my EZboard identity is how a handful of my LJ friends know me best. In fact, there is a big contingent of people from Neighborhood 99 who are now on LJ. Some of them are on my friends list and get to get used to my more accurate identity of
jdotmi.
Now. My gaming friends. Local people who, for the most part, have nothing to do with The Sims.
amberthistle added
tyskkvinna to her friends list a while back. One of my gaming friends, who is not in the Sims community at all, added one of my Sim friends. :-p
Of course, this is really just the latest.
frezzen added
kageneko ages and ages ago. Mind you, I didn't really meet
frezzen from Neighborhood 99. I meat her through Sim Fever, but it's all still Sims stuff!
When worlds collide, indeed!
Intersting Trivia Tidbit: I used to actually have a filter for all of my Sims friends here. I even gave them their own custom colors, carefully matched (as closely as possible given the limited pallet here) to N99's colors of choice. :-p I am a true and utter dork.

I drop in to N99 once in a blue moon or so and read for a while. That's how I found out that another expansion is due out. :-p You know, because they need more expansions to that game.

Somehow I think that needs to be on there for the game to be played. For some odd reason...
I also think the video on the laptop got to be too weak.. (IE: not enough mem)
