Happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] hylandr! I was sorta absent from LJ over the weekend. :-p

Dot dot dot:
...

I don't know that I actually have anything to post... Hmm. Let me think about that for a minute or four.

...

Hmm.

...

Apartment cleaning needs to be done. There's this thing coming up on Thursday where we cook a lot of food and eat it all with friends. Unfortunately, I'm not sure we can find a spare inch of furniture or carpet in our apartment where we could sit or stand to eat said food. I suspect this is already being partially remedied, but I really need to work on it as well.

Make this a lil personal challenge to myself. No PS2 until I clean at least 1 room, including vacuuming it. And I need to clean my bedroom. Sooner rather than later.

*whimper*

My mind is already attempting to invoke my inner procrastinator to keep me from achieving this goal. ~_~ Annoying mind. I think I need a trade-in.

So. No PS2. No Final Fantasy X-2. Not until bedroom is cleaned and vacuumed and at least one other room as well. Only exception is if the only other room to be cleaned is the dining room, because short of fire-bombing it I want nothing to do with the damn table at the moment.

Grrr. See, herein lies the problem. I get this vague buzz in my head when I know I have something that needs doing but won't be done because I want to be lazy and play a game instead. I have said buzz right now. I hate it. Overcoming a decades worth of self-training to be lazy is hard, m'kay?

*beats buzzy sensation with a wet noodle until it goes away*

*toddles off to find some advil*

Your cheering section

You can do it! I believe in you! Um, yeah, and Stuff. Just do it one room at a time. And if you're dreading the table because your stuff's the stuff piled on it (as is the case with me at any given moment), do that first. You'll feel about 50 tons more accomplished, and energized for the rest of the apartment. You might even reward yourself with ONE HOUR of PS2 before starting the next project.

You can do it!

The table is a dumping ground for all the mail and junk we get. It's not "my" stuff, it's not "keith's" stuff. It's just stuff. And it needs to be fire-bombed.

Although, when I do clean it, if I find things that are "keith's" stuff, they wind up on "keith's" bed. ;-)

And even attempting the table will actually cause me to just stop. I'd rather actually accomplish something. :-p
