I was born in Jackson Michigan at Foote Hospital.
Both of my parents died when I was 5.
I first lived with my Aunt Paula and Uncle Jim, and later with my Aunt Carol (who I call Mom). Jim and Paula had their three children living at home, so didn't really have room for 6 kids. My oldest sister was near graduating when we lived there, and my middle sister got kicked out. This would be a trend for her before living with my Aunt Carol, who basically laid down the law. Wasn't necessarily ultra successful, but it worked in the long run for her.
I have two full sisters, a half brother and a half sister. My sister Kim has two children, a son and a daughter. My half sister has three children, two daughters and a son, and my Half Brother has three children, two daughters and a son again. My oldest nephew and oldest niece are much older than me.
When I was in second grade, I won my schools Young Author's contest for my grade level. The short book I wrote was called "The Yellow Man" and was about a grumpy man who was shaped like a Y. I don't think that book title would fly as children's literature now...
I knew what a homosexual was by the time I was in 6th grade and also knew that I was one. I had no concept of it before that point in time. My oldest sister says she knew I was gay when I was 5.
I attended 4 different Elementary Schools.
I attended Pinckney Middle School. Pep rally's were fun. Can you figure out why?
I graduated from Pinckney High School on June 6th, 1996. You do the number crunching and see if you can figure out why that is amusing.
I play Clarinet, can plunk my way through simple Piano music, and sing fairly well.
I'm a Vocal Music Education major at Eastern Michigan University, although I expect to continue working in the computer field.
I made my Speech instructor cry during my Persuasive speech about Carbon Monoxide detectors. (See random thing number 2 above)
I prefer dark colors on clothing.
I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons since I was around 11 years old.
I think maybe I'll add more random bits later.
