jdotmiSupposed Buffy and Angel fans who can't get their facts right.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Anne first appeared in a second season episode of Buffy called "Lie to Me". Her name at the time was Chantarelle. She then shows up using the name Lily in the episode "Anne". She then takes the name of Anne, which is Buffy's middle name, with her to Angel where she shows up for the first time in the episode "Blood Money".
Now, for the trivia minded, this was not the original intention. They made Lilly and Chantarelle the same person when they cast the same actress, Julia Lee, in the part.
So, yes, when someone says that the character of Anne showed up originally in Season 2 of Buffy they are right.
Morons.
There is one other similar casting tidbit to be had in the series. Kali Rocha was cast as Cecily in the episode "Fool for Love" and then played Halfrek in "Older and Far Away". It's never explicitly stated, but is heavily hinted at in that epiosde that she is actually Cecily based on her reaction to Spike (calling him William, for example).
Other people have played multiple characters, but none of them had the "same person" vibe going for them.

On Angel in the second season, after Angel fired Wes, Gunn, and Cordy he started following this girl around who ran a homeless shelter. She was using the name of Anne. She also shows up in the episode where the zombie cops were harassing her kids.
