Happy belated Birthday tolilacmoon5!!
I suspect I may soon go on a "friending" frenzy. I already re-added a person who I used to read (kev_bot, albeit he had a different name at the time), and there are several other journals floating on my friendsfriends page that I want to read. I suspect this has lots to do with my City of Heroes addiction. That and one of the possible addees has way too many similar interests. :-p
Buffy!:
Season 6 of Buffy came out on DVD today. Sadly, I will not be picking it up today. Hope to sometime soon, but not today. Other stuff has to fall into place first. Then I can get it. I'm thinking one splurge a month can be tolerated, provided the splurge is less than $70, and preferrably less than $50. Already done splurging for May, so must wait until after rent for June is paid before splurging again.
City of Heroes:
Still addicted. Kung Ru is 18th level now, and, of course, after getting her power selected, they announce changes to certain powers which had initially caused me to select said power so that I could do a certain thing with another power and am now very grumpy. Although, technically, I can still do said thing with power, I'm now contemplating doing other things instead. Of course, I'm playing the "gimp" class of the game, so who knows, I may yet get tons of loving, as happened to me in DAoC with my Friar.
Speaking of CoH, I have a re-done Super Diva alive and punching on Pinnacle. She is much more disco than the previous version.
I also have a Radiation Defender named Atom Stryke. No pictures yet, sorry.
Actually, I seem to have an entire family of Strykes. Atom Stryke, Thunder Stryke, Ebony Stryke, Arctic Stryke. Three of them are male! *gasp*
I also made another scrapper named Zachias (Dark Melee / Invulnerability). I think he looks pretty damn nice, butsatyr_mi thinks his legs look strange in character select. But then, all legs look strange in character select. I mean, hello, take a look at the calves in the character creator sometime! It looks like they attached the bottom half of the legs about an inch offset from the rest of the leg. :-p
I had made two other characters, but deleted them cuz they didn't look right. I was going for an actual Costumed Superhero for one, but he wound up wearing armor. o_o;; And the other just wasn't what I wanted. I would really like to be able to put shorts on a guy. Real shorts. Or tight-shorts like some versions of Colossus. I mean, yeah, you can do the "briefs" pattern, but you can't make the leg portion match a skin-tone. I'd really like a "briefs" bottom that allowed you to put a pattern (such as, oh, Tribal) down the legs on guys and used their skin tone for the base on it and the "bottoms" colors for the briefs (main color) and pattern (second color). I mean, hello, the chicks get to show leg all they want, but the guys have to go with bare feet that look like clubs?!?!?
So, yeah, my current CoH roster (all on Pinnacle) is Kung Ru (Scrapper, MA/Regen), Super Diva (Tanker, Invuln/Super Strength), Ebony Stryke (Defender, Dark/Dark), Arctic Stryke (Blaster, Ice/Ice), Thunder Stryke (Controller, Gravity/Storm), Zachias (Scrapper, Dark/Invuln), and Atom Stryke (Defender, Radiation/Radiation).
Sinuses:
The joy that is Michigan weather has been hell on my sinuses. It started two Fridays ago, and ballooned into full blown stabbing pain that would not go away by last Friday. I madesatyr_mi go get me some antihistamines (since we had none) and, finally, the pain is gone. Sadly, the sinuse fun is not gone, however. Of course, like all good allergy fits cleared out by antihistamines, this one caused my nose to bleed every time I blow my nose. ~_~ So I'm off the antihistamines until my nose heals and I can blow my nose without needing a transfusion.
And with that little bit of pseudo-TMI, I'm done with this post!
