Happy birthdays to [livejournal.com profile] chucknoblet and [livejournal.com profile] clickboo!

City of Heroes:
[livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi was playing CoH with [livejournal.com profile] paeryn alast night and there was a semi-humorous moment when someone said "Hi" to him in friendschat and he didn't know who it was. Turns out it was [livejournal.com profile] bluedepth. So, I logged in and found that I did have a character on that server in the correct range, so I did the same thing to him. ^_^ So we had ourselves a nice little group and went into the sewer network to beat up on some zombies. ^_^

Vacation Time:
Taking four day weekends from Borders the first two weekends in August. Took the Thursdays and Sundays off. This will get me down to one week left of vacation time. Probably save that for January. Maybe take it before the blackout period starts, but I'm really thinking I'll want it in January. :-p

X-Men:
I'm apparently in comic book movie mode. Tonight will be both X-Men movies. :-p Can't really call it a marathon, seeing as how it is only two movies, but still.

Well, work is making me do actual work, so I'm done posting for now.

And after X-men you can go see Catwoman, just to witness Halle Berry disgracing yet another superhero. Sigh!

Actually...

The trailers for Catwoman make it look like a decent action flick. And she actually seems to fit well in the character they've created.

Oh, and Catwoman is so NOT a superhero. :-p

And she wasn't super horrible as Storm, she just totally didn't look right and the writing for the character sucked.

Wow! Okay. I guess we'll just have to disagree then. I'm just hoping that with Jinx and Catwoman franchises, she doesn't have time to return as Storm.

(I will see Catwoman on DVD, but only to laugh at it's horrible-ness. Does that make me a bad person?)

She supposedly won't return to play Storm anyway, but seeing as how a script has not been written, all the cast have not been signed on, and nobody knows who will necessarily direct it, I'm not holding my breath for X3 anytime in the near future.

Have you seen the newest (as in it came out in theaters in the last two weeks) trailer for Catwoman? Yeah it's got some cheesy dialogue, but the action bits look pretty awesome. I'm not expecting a plot. I have yet to see a superhero movie that had a plot that was not overly contrived and somewhat silly, regardless of how good the flick was. But it actually looks worth seeing on the big screen.

I am considering it but I have limited funds for movies this month and would much ratehr invest in M. Night Shayamalan's "THE VILLAGE." No doubt the Catwoman fight sequences will be fun, but I can wait for that.

I might go see this at the theatre, though. Not certain yet.
