A Different Type of Sunday

jdotmiFor once, I'm not a zombie at work! And it's Sunday!
See, normally I work two jobs on Sunday. However, I took this "morning" off from my second job, so I was actually at home in bed last night. It was soooo nice.
Yesterday was game day. I did work 12am to 8am yesterday, so I did have to nap before gaming. Got to sleep around 9am or so. Slept until around 1pm or so. Got up, got dressed, ate food, drank lots of caffinated beverages, and then had played a high-action session of Shadowrun.
Okay, I'm sorta kidding. It wasn't very high-action. One could even say it was no-action in the "I KEEL YOU!" sense. Well, at least, no-action in the "I KEEL YOU!" sense that wasn't done in a flashback mode. It was pretty good, though. Lots of character interaction, which the group had been a bit lacking in previously. We'd had a couple games that were "here's the job, go do it" and really hadn't gotten to know one another in character at all.
Some humorous highlights from the game include Morgana's hat of DOOM; Chaim in his skivvies; the black gay dwarf (Justin) reading up on the Humanis Policlub; Morgana, Chaim and Carrie assaulting each other with paint brushes; and Morgana and Carrie going to Dante's and partying their way down the various circles of Hell.
Now, keep in mind, the actual story going on wasn't really of the funny. Basically, the auto shop that Chaim works/lives at got attacked and trashed by some Humanis (think KKK, but hating metahumans) losers. His landlords (an ork couple) were attacked, their house trashed, credsticks stolen. Their business phone line got redirected to a message saying it was permanently closed (at about the same time the attack happened. gee, coincidence?). Chaim tried to stop them (see big troll. see big troll's stick. see big troll's stick crush your head. see big troll's stick break after crushing many of your heads. see big troll receive a 20 baseball bat beatdown. see troll's allies ask troll why troll didn't blast the retards with troll magic. see troll imitate Hulk Smash.) Chaim's credstick got stolen and his funds from it stolen as well. Of course, Morgana is investigating the charity that the funds were "donated" to now, but that's another story entirely. There was this big thing that I missed between Justin and Chaim where Justin (mouse shaman) guided Chaim on a dream trance thingy where Chaim realized he knew one of the Human retards who attacked him. Lots of (totally wrong) conclusions were jumped to. Some correct conclusions got jumped to as well. Lots of former-nun-nuyen got spent.
So, today. I'm at work. I forgot my cell phone at home. Fortunately I've got AIM to keep me company (hey, yeah, right). Brought some D&D books to look at. Got my bottled water here. Got lots of stuff to plan for hanging out with friends.

dianak at Red Robin after work. Need to plan a day for carebear_flare to come over. This week is a normal work week for me, but the next two weeks I've taken a couple vacation days from Borders. I've got 8/5, 8/8, 8/12, and 8/15 off. I'm still working at Booth on those weekends, but I won't be having the crazy hectic schedule of working both jobs in one day. Probably use my last week of vacation for the plan year in January. Otherwise it'd have to be before Thanksgiving, since the blackout period begins that weekend.
Well, this post has gone long due to actual work needing to get done. So I'll make some more posts later.
