Happy belated birthday to
drmrdave!
Final Fantasy X:
Such an addict. Swear to god. I didn't technically accomplish much in it yesterday. I meandered on through the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth, though. I did not, however, obtain Yojimbo. I'm saving up money to get him and his little Teleport Spheres too. It's not like I ever use him, so it's not some big loss. :-p I'll get him after I get the big ugly fish-mummy chick. I should have enough cash by then to get what I want out of him.
I also need to go back to the Cavern anyway. I couldn't find a freaking Tonberry while I was in there. Stupid Tonberry.
My current save game is at 32 hours. Auron is "stuck" at the end of his sphere grid until I decide what to do with him. I could go back through his grid and unlock all the side arcs that I skipped. Zombie attack could be nice, after all. Or I could just kick him into Rikku's grid for some hot Steal/Agility action. Or I could break him into Yuna's grid just to be very very silly. The only person not rapidly approaching the end of a grid section is Kimhari, who already blasted through his own portion of the grid and is still winding his way through Rikku's grid.
I'm going to be pretty picky about what I unlock prior to farming the Omega Ruins for Key Spheres. I want Doublecast. I want Ultima. I want Full-Life. I want Holy. Then, once I get me an airship and some good travel options, it'll be a nice slow walk through Besaid and points north collecting me some Pokemon... er... I mean Fiends. I may even have Rikku, Yuna, and Lulu buy some catcher weapons for the task. =^_^=
Only bad thing about Cavern of the Stolen Fayth. The nice shiny Flexible Arm that I have. ~_~ I have all sorts of plans and hopes for this puppy, but I have nothing with which to fulfill said hopes and plans yet. Well, this isn't entirely true... I think I can pull off one or two of the things I want in it... Of course, it's less impressive seeing as how Rikku has the strength of a box of tissues after a shoopuf sneezes on them, but hey.
Okay, reading gamefaqs is distracting me. :-p Enough about FFX already! ^_^
Mountain Dew:
Keith got a case of Pitch Black on his way home from St Louis. It's... weird. I don't dislike it, but I'm not going out of my way to seek it out. It starts out tasting like Grape Soda, then it has this quasi Mountain Dew flavor to it, then it has a Fruit Punch aftertaste. It. Is. WEIRD.
Gaming Stuff:
Shadowrun this weekend! Yay! Very excited. Although, I will have to leave at 11:30 on Saturday due to this thing called work. ~_~ Stupid work. But, yay for gaming! And people will be over. Unlike this last weekend when I was alone all weekend while everybody else went out and had fun times and touristy experiences. :-p Okay, so it wasn't that bad. I got to get over the cold that I had, and the kitties were probably quite happy to have the run of the apartment. :-p And I got a lot of FFX time in.
The new Vampire and World of Darkness books are out. I'm considering stopping and picking them up on my way home today. Maybe. Possibly. Not sure. (Okay, so I probably will, but I can pretend to have willpower, damnit!)
Addiction:
Okay okay okay, so I keep flipping over to gamefaqs and reading about FFX. ~_~ Going to post this now and be on my way. (42 minutes after starting the post, but who' counting?)

I lost touch after the 2nd edition since I didn't have anyone to TT game with.

Although my housemate Dan - the historian Sox fan - has so overpowered his characters that Yu Yevon went down in one move: Tidus' Blitz Ace. Yevon never got to attack, nobody else got a turn. I think Tidus broke 100,000 damage.

The new World of Darkness is a new setting. Some themes and names from the original are kept, but everything has been rebuilt from the ground up. The mythologies are new (Vampires don't know squat about their origins), the metaphysics are new (Vampires don't have Generations anymore), and the setting is not connected to the old one in any way.
They say they aren't going to do a metaplot with this one. I'll believe it when pigs fly out of the collective asses of the White Wolf development teams.

It's that fight right before them that kicked my ass 4 times. :-p
Of course, I plan on having straight 255s for stats on all my characters (and possibly Aeons) for that fight. ;-) Can we say one Overdrive anyone?

I'm about ready to sell my WoD books on ebay or craigslist or some such. Gaming books take up too much space!

Zombie Attack for Auron is awesome, you must get it. Auron zombifying + Yuna healing is teh win.
I took Auron through Tidus' sphere grid, and Tidus partially through Auron's grid, partially through Rikku's grid, and was quite happy with the results. (Of course I was really biased toward Auron, too... Tidus I can take or leave :P)
WoD 2.0
Massive.
Chunks.
No "meta-plot", eh? Then what's this NPC "bloodline" of demon-Vampires everyone else fights against?
Piffle.
I gave up on WW about 8 years ago, and only look back when someone grabs my head and twists it that way. I advise you to stick with the games you already like - like Shadowrun - and not waste your money.

Ever.

I think we have most of the books for it now... There was a Riders hobby shop near us that had all of them for really really low prices.

My last play through I took him into Tidus' grid as well. His utter lack of speed was annoying. Needed to fix that.
I took Tidus through Wakka's grid, I think. And Wakka and Rikku went into Auron's grid. I seem to always take Kimhari into Rikku's grid. Stealing from the Ronso is just too useful. Plus I'm a steal/mug whore, so that's always nice.
Re: WoD 2.0
In the new World of Darkness, there is no evolving "meta plot". There is the setup of the world and it's background, and then it stays that way. Each new book will not introduce some change like "oh, this person is now dead, this person moved here, and this person took over South Bumblefuck in an epileptic fit." Whether or not they actually stick to this? Well, see my comment regarding pigs flying out of asses.

Well, okay, I'm not super masochistic, so I'll probably skip Luck, since it's a bitch to raise. But still.

I should probably consider eating real food before drooling over ice cream.

A little lower and to the left. Got an itch I can't reach there.
:-p

Reminds me. I've got ice cream at home.... mmmm. Ice Cream.
