Happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] drmrdave!

Final Fantasy X:
Such an addict. Swear to god. I didn't technically accomplish much in it yesterday. I meandered on through the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth, though. I did not, however, obtain Yojimbo. I'm saving up money to get him and his little Teleport Spheres too. It's not like I ever use him, so it's not some big loss. :-p I'll get him after I get the big ugly fish-mummy chick. I should have enough cash by then to get what I want out of him.

I also need to go back to the Cavern anyway. I couldn't find a freaking Tonberry while I was in there. Stupid Tonberry.

My current save game is at 32 hours. Auron is "stuck" at the end of his sphere grid until I decide what to do with him. I could go back through his grid and unlock all the side arcs that I skipped. Zombie attack could be nice, after all. Or I could just kick him into Rikku's grid for some hot Steal/Agility action. Or I could break him into Yuna's grid just to be very very silly. The only person not rapidly approaching the end of a grid section is Kimhari, who already blasted through his own portion of the grid and is still winding his way through Rikku's grid.

I'm going to be pretty picky about what I unlock prior to farming the Omega Ruins for Key Spheres. I want Doublecast. I want Ultima. I want Full-Life. I want Holy. Then, once I get me an airship and some good travel options, it'll be a nice slow walk through Besaid and points north collecting me some Pokemon... er... I mean Fiends. I may even have Rikku, Yuna, and Lulu buy some catcher weapons for the task. =^_^=

Only bad thing about Cavern of the Stolen Fayth. The nice shiny Flexible Arm that I have. ~_~ I have all sorts of plans and hopes for this puppy, but I have nothing with which to fulfill said hopes and plans yet. Well, this isn't entirely true... I think I can pull off one or two of the things I want in it... Of course, it's less impressive seeing as how Rikku has the strength of a box of tissues after a shoopuf sneezes on them, but hey.

Okay, reading gamefaqs is distracting me. :-p Enough about FFX already! ^_^

Mountain Dew:
Keith got a case of Pitch Black on his way home from St Louis. It's... weird. I don't dislike it, but I'm not going out of my way to seek it out. It starts out tasting like Grape Soda, then it has this quasi Mountain Dew flavor to it, then it has a Fruit Punch aftertaste. It. Is. WEIRD.

Gaming Stuff:
Shadowrun this weekend! Yay! Very excited. Although, I will have to leave at 11:30 on Saturday due to this thing called work. ~_~ Stupid work. But, yay for gaming! And people will be over. Unlike this last weekend when I was alone all weekend while everybody else went out and had fun times and touristy experiences. :-p Okay, so it wasn't that bad. I got to get over the cold that I had, and the kitties were probably quite happy to have the run of the apartment. :-p And I got a lot of FFX time in.

The new Vampire and World of Darkness books are out. I'm considering stopping and picking them up on my way home today. Maybe. Possibly. Not sure. (Okay, so I probably will, but I can pretend to have willpower, damnit!)

Addiction:
Okay okay okay, so I keep flipping over to gamefaqs and reading about FFX. ~_~ Going to post this now and be on my way. (42 minutes after starting the post, but who' counting?)

New Vampire and WoD books? What are these, the "We ended continuity, but we put a big question mark on the screen after the 'The End' so, muhahahaha! Buy more books, bitch!" sourcebooks?

I lost touch after the 2nd edition since I didn't have anyone to TT game with.

Revised (3rd edition) ended the storyline for the original World of Darkness. "Ascension", "Apocalypse", "Gehenna", and "The Time of Judgement" presented the possible End of Days scenarios for all the game lines. The old World of Darkness is, well, ended.

The new World of Darkness is a new setting. Some themes and names from the original are kept, but everything has been rebuilt from the ground up. The mythologies are new (Vampires don't know squat about their origins), the metaphysics are new (Vampires don't have Generations anymore), and the setting is not connected to the old one in any way.

They say they aren't going to do a metaplot with this one. I'll believe it when pigs fly out of the collective asses of the White Wolf development teams.

I think I'll happily steer clear of it all and keep my gaming down to my little d20 Modern group for now...

I like WoD better than d20/3rd Edition. Whether or not I'll actually play this version is another matter entirely. :-p

Aha! You're one of those people that simply has to have it, whether they plan to play or not. :)

I'm about ready to sell my WoD books on ebay or craigslist or some such. Gaming books take up too much space!

I miss Wraith. Never got a chance to play it. :(

I think we have most of the books for it now... There was a Riders hobby shop near us that had all of them for really really low prices.

Oh I'm sure they don't have it now. :-p This was years ago that we got them!

The words "books" and "too much space" are words that do not ever belong in the same sentence.

Ever.

When you add the word "gaming" - they do. My other books will have to be removed from my cold dead grasp.

Nope. "books" and "too much space" never go together. Even with "gaming" in them. :-p

I'd agree to disagree, but it will be so much more fun to simply destroy you with the power of my mind...

*concentrates*

Oh yeah.. it's coming.. you just wait.

A little lower and to the left. Got an itch I can't reach there.
