Okay, like you really thought I was going to post about anything else. :-p
The Goth household is in slight chaos. It could be argued that Cassandra has gone somewhat insane. She's had two babies out of wedlock by two different men, and now she wants to have the maid's baby. Alexander is pondering just kicking everyone else out of the house. Who knows, by then maybe Cassandra will have chosen a husband! Mortimer has become addicted to this elixer of life he found, and Cassandra's daughter weeps when seeing Mommy kiss the maid, even though she's never even spoken with her own father!
Don Lothario managed to avoid getting married without losing his relationship with Cassandra. She sent him home on the day that should have been their wedding, so that may have had something to do with it. He then wooed both Caliente sisters, his maid, and Cassandra yet again. Then he started to seduce Darren Dreamer, who he doesn't know is the father of Cassandra's first child! Incidentally, he's the father of her second child, but he has yet to meet his son.
The Caliente sisters decided to shape up their gold-digging ways. Mortimer still has his eye on the blondest girl in all of Pleasantview, but she has thus far resisted his advances.
Daniel Pleasant has managed to keep his affair with the maid hidden from his wife and daughters, but one has to wonder how long it will be before the truth slips out. Especially since this is one maid who definitely seems to enjoy play with work! She's dating Don Lothario, after all!
Darren Dreamer has become one of the best known artists in the world, but he still hasn't managed to get Cassandra Goth to come over for dinner. He's been to her place quite a few times, and has met his new little girl once when she was an newborn, but he hasn't seen her since. He can't seem to figure out why Cassandra hasn't invited him over in a while...
Brandi Broke has managed to find herself a mysterious benefactor. A large care package was left on her doorstep a few days before Dustin and Beau were accepted into private school. Skip Jr is growing up fast, and a very wealthy man who just moved into town keeps calling her.

How To Get Your Sim Kids Into Private School:
1. Make sure one of the adults has a very high Cooking score. 5 is the minimum. Brandi Broke starts with a very high (8) Cooking score. Having her cook Salmon for dinner resulted in 45 points out of the 90 needed for entrance into Private School.
2. Deck out two or three regions with enough Environment score boosters to fill or very nearly fill a Sims Environment bar. While on the tour, showing the room in these areas will net you 10 points per room! If you're poor, you can sell the decorations back when the event is concluded.
3. Schmooze at least two or three times. This should get you all the rest of the points you need!
4. Need an extra boost? Buy a Hot Tub and get the Headmaster into it!
Even without cheating, it's possible to get three distinct rooms to a full Environment score. Make sure every room is clean (stray objects put away, beds made, sinks clean, tubs clean, toilets clean, counters clean) and well lit and has objects close enough together to be noticed but not so close it makes it impossible to move.
How To Make Friends Without Really Trying:
This is easiest when done with Sims that are both living in the neighborhood. It can be done with Townies, but it's much slower.
The key to this trick is the Social motive and knowing when the other Sim will be home from work/school. If the Sims live in seperate houses, this is easy. Allow whichever Sim you are playing to lose most of their Social motive. Go paint for a week or something. Then, call the Sim you want to befriend up on the phone. Provided no other Need failure state occurs and you don't get into an argument, you will continue talking (and thus gaining Daily Relationship points) with the Sim until your Social motive maxes out. This is obviously best done with a Sim who just woke up and has showered and gone to the bathroom. If you had them eat before going to bed they are even better off.
In theory, you could do the same with the Chat Online option with a computer, but Sims will log-off of the computer chat and not be available when you want them. If they're home, and it's a "reasonable" hour, you can always find them with the phone.
Aging On / Aging Off For Fun And Procreation:
Unless you are in a no-cheats household, turning Aging Off is probably the preferred methods of playing. Especially for players who just can't bear to part with their Sims. This isn't really possible for Family Sims, however, since one of their Power Wants is to have children. Constantly. So, while Mom and Dad won't be getting any older, neither will that newborn who is only capable of crying, eating, and pooping.
Fortunately, any family with a Family Sim can work around Aging fairly easily. The trick is to keep Mommy Sim continuously having babies. The Family Sim will continuously hit Major Want payouts in Aspiration points for each child born and every time they teach a child one of the three Toddler Skills. Let the other Sims in the household buy the Smart Milk! Your Family Sim will be saving up for some Elixir of Life! If you can get it before they hit Elder status, you're pretty much set. Keep in mind that there is a limit to how effective the Elixir is. Also keep in mind that while the Family Sim may be ecstatic to have baby number 10, the rest of the family may be gibbering masses of goo after having more than 4 children...
Of course, since you had to leave Aging On the entire time to get the infants and toddlers to grow up (approximately 4 days per kid if you age them as soon as possible), the oldest ones will be ready to Find Their Own Place around the time the house would start to max out in size.
So, where does Aging Off come in to play? When you want to give Mommy Sim a break and immediately prior to the first child being born. Pregnancy can progress with Aging Off without issue. Plus, Mommy Sim may want to have a day job and learn some skills and make friends too, ya know! Of course, if you play your cards right, Mommy Sim can amass a fortune in Paid Vacation Days while having kids. Cassandra Goth amassed 8 Paid Vacation Days while having kids. The game does say you get the next three days off to deal with the babies, but it actually gives you 3 Paid Vacation Days. Hire a Nanny and go to work and save those Vacation Days for a less stressful time period or a hefty retirement bonus!
Well, I think I'm going to post this and go to lunch now. Well, okay, probably won't actually go anywhere for lunch, seeing as how I'm not hungry, but I can at least punch out for an hour.
